First Look Fridays Interview Series: Beauty Blogger Krystal Emery of Polish Galore

I'm thrilled to bring you this week's First Look Fridays interview with the lovely Krystal Emery of the beauty blog Polish Galore. Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
I live in South Texas. I'm a 2nd generation Javelina, graduated with a degree in Radio & TV from Texas A&M University-Kingsville (sister school of the Aggies).

How did you first become interested in beauty, and what led you to create your own blog?
I've always loved nail polish -- I had a small collection in high school and college but didn't go full blown until 2009 after I found the China Glaze OMG! Collection. I have a YouTube blogger friend (From Head To Toe) who told me that I should start a blog to justify all my purchases and the rest is history.

I love the name of your blog! How did you come up with it?
I originally was going to name my blog "China Glaze Galore" because I had quickly purchased over 50 China Glaze polishes in a short period of time, but thankfully after some consideration, I decided on Polish Galore because I definitely have a LOT of nail polish.

What are your top 5 favorite beauty products?

Cult Nails Get It On Perfecting Base Coat

Digital Nails Ain't Nobody Got Time For That Ultra Fast Drying Top Coat

Emerald & Ash Cuticle Oil. Mine's Lavender but she has over 80 available scents AND you can custom blend your own scent from her existing!

China Glaze Strawberry Fields nail polish. Pink with gold shimmer. (Editor's note: isn't her swatch amazing?)

I Love Nail Polish Mega. It's a blinding silver holographic polish.

What are your top 3 beauty tips?
1) Never go without base coat, even if it's the only thing on your nails.

2) Never use your nails as tools.

3) Always use cuticle oil, balm, cream, et cetera to keep your cuticles and skin moisturized and soft.

Being a blogger must be fun, but what do you do in your spare time?
I also cross-stitch.
