My Winter Skincare Saviors: Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream and First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Overnight Mask

Unless you live under a rock, I'm pretty sure you're aware of the unbelievably frigid temperatures we're experiencing right now. (For example? It was -6 degrees in Pittsburgh when I woke up this morning with the wind chill making it feel like -17. Um, gross.) To that end, I've needed to adjust my skincare regimen so my face doesn't crack, flake or peel. Enter these products from Kiehl's and First Aid Beauty.

There's something miraculous happening with the combination of Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream and the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Overnight Mask. My skin actually feels hydrated at a time when it should feel like the Sahara. Honestly, my skin has NEVER felt so soft in all the winters I've experienced (and -- gulp -- I'm up to 35 of them).

Now, I've actually written about both of these products in the past. Last winter, I teamed the Kiehl's moisturizer with the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque. This year, partly because I wanted to try a different pairing and partly because I have no idea where my Kiehl's mask is, I went for the First Aid Beauty mask.

The results have been exquisite. Both of these products are supremely hydrating and sink into skin immediately upon contact -- especially nice for the mask, which, due to its gel-cream texture, could have the tendency to feel sticky. (Thankfully, it doesn't.) At this point, my skin is so soft and smooth that it's difficult to stop touching it! And that's definitely a nice perk in the midst of this terrible cold snap.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream retails for $26.50 at kiehls.com. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Overnight Mask retails for $38 at sephora.com.

  1. These both sound like winter essentials to me! While I don't have dry skin, the Kiehl's sounds perfect even for my combination skin during the colder months when my skin is prone to dehydration.

  2. They both sound terrific, though I haven't yet tried either product. I love the Kiehl's body lotion and I'm a fan of First Aid Ultra Skin Cream and the eye gel. Both great brands!

  4. I got my first-ever Kiehl's products for Valentine's Day and can't wait to start using the serum! I love the sound of the facial cream; my skin is all flaky thanks to the dry climate.

  7. They sound wonderful! Normally I've shied away from hydrating masks because I've had oily/combination skin the majority of my life, but now that I'm 38, I have noticed a little more dryness.

  10. Sounds like a great combo! I've been using a LOT of moisturizing sheet masks for added hydration.
