Aphrodite is one of the colors from the new Zoya Summer 2015 Paradise Sun Collection. All six of the shades in this collection are vibrant, juicy and eye-searingly vivid. But, from the beginning, Aphrodite stole my heart.
Zoya describes Aphrodite as "a vibrant summer red with a micronized pearl metallic finish and multi-hued flash that brings it to life. Think of fresh and juicy tropical fruit!" But I actually see this color as a shimmer-tinged tangerine. In both the swatches I've seen from others and on myself, it pulls way more orange than red.
The bottom of the bottle. As you can see, "Aphrodite" is spelled wrong, but I think it gives the bottle character. |
I tend to shy away from oranges during the cooler months, but once summer hits, I'm ALL about them -- so this color is absolutely the right choice today! Two coats yield even, perfect color that's glossy, shimmery and shiny beyond measure.
I really think Zoya knocked it out of the park with Aphrodite. I don't have another color like it in my collection for sure. Happy summer, indeed!

What a gorgeous shade of red! I can't believe that they didn't catch the typo on the label!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great shade, it screams Summer! Maybe you have a collectors polish with that typo it's a one of a kind hehe
ReplyDeleteI need to see Aphrodite in person 'coz I'm not sure about the finish, but the shade itself is stunning!

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty polish shade! I've got nothing on my nails at the moment, which is pretty embarrassing for me to admit, lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome color!
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect toe color for summer!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shade but I have to tell you I laughed when I saw the label. I've had other Zoya polishes that they spelled the name wrong. At least they get the polish right.
ReplyDeleteI see red and it's gorgeous
