#ManiMonday Meets Salon and Spa Directory: Côte

Have you ever visited a nail salon that just immediately felt like home? Well, that's how Côte felt the moment I stepped inside.

The front of Côte. I love the collection of items at the register.
To be honest, I'm not sure how I first heard about this salon. But I'd been following them on Instagram and Twitter for quite some time, and I knew that I'd be visiting on my next trip to Los Angeles. And so, pretty much the moment I booked my flight for my trip this past May, an appointment at Côte immediately followed suit.

The manicure and pedicure stations inside Côte. The back room is very open and feels like a sunroom.
Côte is located in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. It's part nail salon, part retail shop. The space is light, bright, relaxed and airy -- it just feels VERY California. I felt at peace the moment I walked in and just knew I would have the most incredible experience ... and I was right! The armchairs are so comfortable that you sink right in and feel like you could fall asleep. They also provide iPads and iPhone chargers, so you don't have to worry about being disconnected from the outside world (unless you want to be). Since I take every opportunity to charge my phone, I definitely appreciated this convenience.

I loved the way all of the various nail polishes were organized. There's a large stand in the middle of the room that separates all of the polishes by color family -- it's very eye-catching and makes selecting polish at once easy and difficult, since it really just makes you want to use every single color!

The greens, blues and purples.

The nudes and pinks.

The browns and greys.

The reds, nudes and oranges.

My final nail polish selections -- No. 80 and No. 82. It definitely took a lot of pondering before I settled on these, since all 109 colors are so gorgeous!
I'm always a fan of nail salons who create their own polish lines, especially when the polish is GOOD. And the nail polish at Côte? It's perfection. All of the polishes are five-free ... and there are 109 different colors to choose from! This definitely made selecting the color for my manicure quite difficult, and -- as you can see -- I couldn't pick just one. I ended up selecting No. 80 and No. 82. No. 80 is a rich, shimmery grape, while No. 82 is a pale blueish purple. I absolutely loved how these two colors played together.

The actual manicure experience was among the best I've had. My manicurist was meticulous and thorough from start to finish -- she buffed, scrubbed and polished my nails to perfection. My nails were seriously so smooth by the end of my manicure that I couldn't stop running my fingers over them for the next week!

A closeup of my manicure with No. 80 and No. 82 nail polishes.

I honestly can't say enough positive things about Côte. Once I move to Los Angeles, this is DEFINITELY going to become my go-to nail salon.

A manicure at Côte is $20. A pedicure is $26. For more information about Côte and to book an appointment, visit coteshop.co.
