What's In My Makeup Bag (All Thanks to Splender)

If you're like me, you definitely love finding great deals on anything you buy online. Really, who doesn't love saving a little cash -- and earning rewards at the same time? Enter Splender.

Splender works like this. You create an account on the site (it's free!) and then you start searching for stores or offers. (I prefer to search by store, since I typically know where I want to shop.) You can either click on the "Stores" or "Offers" links at the top or use the search bar. There are over 800 stores to choose from, so chances are you'll find what you're looking for! Once you've selected your store or offer, you click on it and head to the site to purchase your items. Once you've finished shopping, that store pays Splender a commission for sending you there to shop -- and Splender shares that money with you in the form of cash back!

Yes, you read that right. YOU GET PAID TO SHOP. You can get up to 40% cash back just for using Splender! You can even stack your cash back, coupons and offers to increase your savings. The site is just so super easy to use. You can watch this video to get even more information on how to use Splender, too. As long as you have at least $10 in your Splender account, you'll get your cash back, which you can do in the form of PayPal or a check. (I chose PayPal since I think that's easier and faster.)

I decided to use Splender to score some deals on beauty products for my makeup bag. I can't live without Sephora, so spending $100 there with the chance to get some money back was definitely more than tempting! I ended up getting all of the following products to replenish my makeup bag:

Benefit Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara ($24)
This is my favorite mascara in a long, LONG time. The curved brush hugs each and every lash -- even the baby ones! -- and makes them long, curled, lush and thick. One coat lasts for hours with no clumping or flaking. I'm honestly obsessed.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm ($33)
The lip product I buy again and again and again and ... well, you get the point. A few swipes with this pale pink lip balm create a unique, custom color just for your pout. I like to apply it a few times throughout the day or night to really make my lips super pink. I will never be able to live without this balm in my bag!

Urban Decay Naked2 Makeup Palette ($54)
So I'm kind of the worst beauty blogger ever, because I NEVER BOUGHT A NAKED PALETTE BEFORE. I know, I know -- what was I thinking? I decided it was time to (finally) bite the bullet, but then of course it took forever for me to decide which one was the right one! I decided on Naked2 because I just really loved all of the various brown shades and thought they would be the most flattering on me. I also LOVE the packaging and the dual-ended makeup brush. And the fact that it came with samples of the four Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potions just made it all the better.

Sephora Honey Sleeping Mask ($4)
I have to admit that this was a total impulse purchase. But come on, it was so cheap! It promises to nourish, balance and soothe the skin, so I'm pretty excited to try it out. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good sleep mask.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day
I also had over 500 Beauty Insider points, which were enough to use on this AMAZING kit by Living Proof. It comes packed with FIVE products, including a shower cap! This is definitely the best product I've ever gotten by redeeming my Sephora points, that's for sure.

And here's the best part. My purchase got me to Sephora VIB Status! For all the beauty purchases I make in a year, I have actually never gotten there before.

I honestly can't say enough good things about my experience shopping with Splender. Honestly, who doesn't want to find good deals and get cash back for their online purchases? I'm going to get over $11 back just for feeding my beauty obsession and replenishing products in my makeup bag -- it just doesn't get any better than that!

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

  1. I will check Splender out because you can get up to 40% back, that's insane. I have been using Ebates, though truth be told, I often forget to use it like last week when I bought a pricey purse on maces.com, grrrr

  6. Every time I have 500 pts the perk stinks so I feel like I should get 5 of the 100pt perks and then they put something cool in the 500pt heheh. I have heard great stuff about the roller lash mascara!
