#ManiMonday: Nailing Hollywood Jacaranda and Supernova Glitter Nail Art Manicure by Celebrity Manicurist Brittni Rae

So in case you're not aware, I moved to Los Angeles a week ago! After two years in Pittsburgh, I decided to flee the cold for the warm weather, sunshine and blue skies of the West Coast. So I packed up my car and drove out west! (Stay tuned for a post all about the trip.) In any case, I was lucky enough to make it to LA in time for the Nailing Hollywood event last Wednesday! And thank goodness I did, because this glitter nail art manicure has been making me super happy ever since.

For those of you not familiar with Nailing Hollywood, it's the first and only artist agency to exclusively represent the industry’s most prominent fashion and celebrity nail experts. It was founded by the fabulous Celebrity Green Nail Stylist, Jenna Hipp (you can read my First Look Fridays interview with her here!).

I was thrilled to attend this event for many reasons, but the biggest is that Jenna and I have been in touch since we did that interview back in 2008 -- and yet we had never actually met in person! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to finally tell her how amazing I think she is.

But I was also super excited to attend the event because Nailing Hollywood is launching their own line of polish and tools -- and I was able to experience the collection firsthand. The line will have 100 -- yes, 100! -- colors to choose from, plus an entire collection of tools and treatment products. It really is spectacular. And with 100 colors, you're pretty much guaranteed to find one (or, okay, several) that you simply have to have. I honestly found it difficult to choose just one polish for my manicure, so I chose two!

I was paired with celebrity manicurist Brittni Rae, who counts Demi Lovato among her clients. Brittni was super sweet and also extremely talented. We decided to paint my nails with one coat of Nailing Hollywood Jacaranda and then do a glitter fade with one coat of Nailing Hollywood Supernova. I loved the opaque deep purple hue of Jacaranda, and the multicolored glitter of Supernova stands out so well against it.

I have to say I'm extremely excited for the Nailing Hollywood collection to launch. It will be available at beauty.com and select retailers in mid November. Look out for this collection, because you're going to LOVE it!
