A closer view of Essie Lounge Lover. |
The eponymous color from the Essie Spring 2016 Collection is described as a bright coral pink. Pretty accurate, wouldn't you say? This opaque creme definitely has me yearning for the bright, sunny, warm days I left behind in Los Angeles a couple months ago, but I'm doing my best to bring LA to the CLE with it on my nails!
Essie Lounge Lover definitely looks more coral in certain lights. |
It definitely pulls more coral in certain lights, as you can see above. I like it more when it's on the pink end of the spectrum, but I don't mind the coral coming through.
I did have some issues with the formula -- I found it to be quite thick and goopy. Even with two thin coats was struggling to have it cover the nails evenly without streaking or dragging. However, I just kept working with it until my nails were done, and a coat of top coat definitely helped to bring extra shine and glossiness to the shade.
I'm not sure this is a shade I'll be adding to my permanent collection, but it definitely perked me up this week! What's on your nails right now? Let me know in the comments!
Lounge Lover is the perfect shade for spring, even if it's freezing :(

ReplyDeleteFun color, but I'm not a fan of Essie. Their formulas are always horrid for me.
