These. Shoes. Are. EVERYTHING. I'd been curious about them for some time, for two reasons:
1) They're so chic. I love the wraparound silhouette, the wide cloth straps and the leather toe strap.
2) The footbeds are crafted from real yoga mats!

I'd been wanting to try these for months, but my dream finally came true during a trip to Disneyland this past Friday. (Side note: it was my first time back at Disneyland since I broke my ankle and it was a complete success!) Lo and behold, there's a Sanuk store in Downtown Disney. I made an immediate beeline for it, walking as quickly as I was able (because I'm not allowed to run yet) and aimed right for the Yoga Sling 2 section.
The moment I slipped these babies on, I knew I was in heaven. THEY. ARE. SO. COMFORTABLE. While my ankle has healed -- I saw the X-rays at my latest follow up, and everything is as good as new in there -- I am still experiencing some pain and discomfort when I walk, and I am definitely not allowed to wear heels yet. So these sandals are right up my alley! I seriously feel like I'm walking on clouds. I actually loved them so much, I wore them out of the store that night!
|The Sanuk Yoga Sling 2 Sandals are more comfortable than I could have dreamed. Shoutout to the fun cracked floor at my office building, too.|
I've basically been wearing these nonstop since Friday. I also bought them in a black and gold metallic, so I can be a bit fancier sometimes. (And who doesn't want to be fancy even when she has to wear flats, right?) I have a feeling I'll be buying the Yoga Slings in every color imaginable, but these two were definitely a good start.
Pain from the broken ankle? With these sandals by my side, it's diminishing by the second.
The Sanuk Black Yoga Sling 2 Sandals retail for $38 at sanuk.com.
