|Pulp Riot Hair Color in Cupid.|
My cousin happened to discover Pulp Riot when she was shopping for hair color for this very experience. It came recommended highly from multiple people at the beauty store she went to, so we decided to take a gamble on Pulp Riot Hair Color in Cupid. As you can see from my hair, it's definitely bright fuchsia. And I have to say, I AM SO IN LOVE.

Pulp Riot is a relatively new hair color company conceived by David and Alexis Thurston, who are the creators of nationally recognized brands Butterfly Loft and Butterfly Circus. They assembled a team of high profile stylists, including Ash Fortis, Iris Smith, Jay Wesley Olson and Ricky Zito, and others to formulate the line of vibrant colors. Pulp Riot is also formulated as a semi-permanent hair color that's meant to last up to 42 washes -- AND it's vegan and gluten free! And, my favorite part? It smells like Kool-Aid!
My original pink hair thought was to go more pastel, but Erin cautioned me that if I did so, it would fade to blonde really quickly. She recommended that I go brighter so that even when it faded, it would stay on the pinker side for longer. We also decided to paint a few pieces around my face completely, but then paint the rest of my hair starting halfway down to give it more of a rocker vibe. And while I definitely had to get used to the idea that my hair was bright shocking pink, I definitely came around really quickly -- like, within 30 seconds quickly.

I am completely and totally head over heels for this hairstyle and wish it would last forever ... although I have to say I'm also really excited to see what it looks like as it starts to fade. It's the color that will keep on giving! I figure I may as well have fun with my style and my hair -- you only live once, and it's my goal to live every day to the absolute fullest. And right now, that includes pink hair!
