#ManiTuesday. Is that a thing? Well, I'm making it one ... because OPI Got Myself Into A Jam-balaya, one of the colors from the Spring 2016 New Orleans Collection, is too good to keep to myself!

Truth be told, I'm not always inspired by the OPI collections these days. The France Collection from 2008 and the Muppets Collection from 2011 are the two against which I hold all other collections, and most just tend to fall short for me. But the New Orleans Collection? Oh, it was GOOOOOD. And, yes, I know it was from 2016 -- but I'm still completely in love with all the bright, fun colors that just scream New Orleans! Show Us Your Tips! and I Manicure For Beads are the two other colors I totally love from this collection, but I Got Myself Into A Jam-balaya? Totally the perfect coral.

One more pic of OPI Got Myself Into A Jam-balaya, this time in sunlight. I love how bright and creamy it is!

I'm holding fiercely onto the end of summer -- which, I know means something a little different in LA, since "winter" here is pretty darn warm. But there's still a general shift in attitude and mentality once the temperatures cool even slightly, and people are ready for boots and pumpkin spice lattes. Coral nails just keep the summer party going a little bit longer for me!

This is one of those corals that's just bold, arresting and made to be noticed. Two coats yield even, perfect color -- no streaks or smudges -- and it's opaque without turning matte. It's just creamy and delicious! It definitely leans more neon, which I love, so I honestly have been staring at my nails for the last two days in awe and wonder.

Crushing on coral? Absolutely.

OPI Got Myself Into A Jam-balaya retails for $9 at jet.com.

  1. LOL, I hear you on the "winter" - I'm i Arizona and I rejoiced that it was in the lower 70's at 7am this morning and yesterday. So sad. Because it stays warm, I think we allowed to rock the summer colors all year round. :)

  2. This is such a fun coral. You're completely right about OPI's recent collections. My "last" favourite was the Euro one - 2011-2012 or so, I think.
