First of all, I will never stop mourning the shuttering of my all-time favorite nail polish brand. To this day, I stare at all of the RBL bottles I accumulated over the years and just wish Ji Baek would reconsider and start creating polish again. But, since that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon, I have to settle for the 40+ colors I was lucky enough to purchase during that time and continue to use them in memory of a more beautiful time in my nail polish world.
Dramatic? Sure. But that's exactly where Fashion Polish comes in. This was one of the colors from the Bloggers 2.0 Collection in 2013. It's one of those colors that was totally arresting, and I knew I needed it the moment I laid eyes on it! I've also been a major fan of Fashion Polish for years, so of course I had to show her some support and love and purchase it immediately.
I first reviewed this nail polish in 2013, which you can check out here. Interestingly, the polish was created with a smattering of red, gold and green microglitter that was definitely noticeable at the time. I'm not sure how or why, but now, all of the glitter is more copper in tone! It might just be the way the colors have settled over the years -- this bottle is, of course, four years old -- but it's morphed into a completely different finish.
All that is to say I still LOVE this color. The deep black with now copper microglitter is still so unique! I love how much glitter is in the formula -- and I also love that the texture is smooth instead of gritty, meaning it will be much easier to remove. It might just also be because my bottle is older, but it was a little thicker than I remember in application, so I used two thinner coats to keep it from feeling too goopy.
I'm definitely feeling this color for fall -- it's especially perfect now that it's the month of Halloween!
What's on your nails right now? Let me know in the comments!

ReplyDeleteIt has a glam twist to basic black
ReplyDeleteI love black polishes with microglitter in them. I'm wearing a charcoal one with glitter in it right now and loving it.
