So here's the thing. I am what one might call obsessed with skincare. And I don't mean just a mild obsession. No, I mean a full-fledged, if-I-don't-have-these-products-in-my-arsenal-I-might-die kind of way. I've talked about some of these products before, and others I'm just bringing to your attention for the first time. I bring you my current skincare regimen -- because, let's "face" it, sometimes our skin is just the most important thing.

My Hospital Beauty Essentials

Post a comment!

Molton Brown White Sandalwood Nourishing Body Lotion, Aromatherapy Associates Lotion with Lavender & Ylang Ylang, Almay Oil Free Gentle Makeup Remover Towelettes, Clinique Smart Custom Repair Eye Treatment, Fresh Rose Hydrating Face Serum, Bonne Bell Raspberry Jelly Lip Smacker, skincare, bath and body products, hospital beauty product essentials
I broke my ankle last Friday. I was visiting some friends in Pittsburgh, slipped on some ice and down I went. And I don't mean just any break. I broke the tibia and the fibula AND managed to fracture a whole bunch of other important stuff. I've been on bed rest in the hospital ever since, and let me tell you -- it changes things. I'm not someone who ever asks for help, and I don't require much care. I'm extremely independent. So having to rely on other people for everything definitely puts life in very different perspective. Luckily I have excellent care and I'm preparing for surgery #2 on Monday. In the meantime, I've culled my beauty essentials to an eye-popping six products! Check out what's getting me through the long days in the hospital.

The Beauty Products I Hoard, Stockpile and Generally Can't Live Without

Bonne Bell Lip Smackers Vanilla, Zoya Remove+ Nail Polish Remover, Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, The Body Shop Shea Body Butter, M.A.C Cosmetics Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara, Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Foaming Hand Soap, stockpiled and hoarded beauty products, beauty blogger linkup, beauty blogger series
The fabulous Christine Mikesell of 15 Minute Beauty has put together a super fun beauty blog linkup today, all about the products we stockpile and hoard. Now, I'm not going to lie -- my apartment tends to look like a Sephora gone crazy. There are nail polishes, lip balms, candles, soaps and more scattered basically across every free inch of space. But there are definitely products that I keep going back to again and again -- and buy in multiples, just in case there was ever a chance of them being discontinued. This is my list.

I'm Right On Top Of That, Rose: The Top 10 Rose Scented Products for Valentine's Day

Post a comment!

Valentine's Day, Top 10 rose scented beauty products, best rose beauty products, JASON Invigorating Rosewater Pure Natural Body Wash, John Masters Organics Rose Foaming Face Wash, Le Couvent des Minimes Complete Moisturizing Cream, Nature's Gate Rose Hand Cream, TokyoMilk Rosewater Bon Bon Lip Balm, Tom Ford Jardin Noir Cafe Rose Eau de Parfum, Kiss My Face Peaceful Patchouli Shower Gel, JUARA Rose & Willow Bark Blemish-Free Mask, Diptyque Roses Scented Candle, REN Skincare Moroccan Rose Otto Body Wash
The rose has always been my favorite flower. I love every iteration, every color (especially peach roses) ... and not because it's the flower of romance, which, if I'm being honest, would make it much less appealing to me. No, it's just because the rose is a thing of pure and utter beauty, from its petals to its lush, heady scent. And, since Valentine's Day is this week, what better time is there to laud some of the best rose-scented beauty products? (Plus, I just love referencing one of my favorite 80s movies of all time, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead.) Keep reading to see which 10 rose-scented beauty products made the list.

Green Goodies for St. Patrick's Day!

Post a comment!

I'm not Irish. But people usually tend to think I am until I tell them differently. Why? Who knows! But that means I am totally getting in on the green spirit because today is St. Patrick's Day! Check out my fave green goodies after the jump.

China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Watermelon Rind ($2.99 at head2toebeauty.com): This unbelievably gorgeous forest green is part of the new Summer Days collection, and it seriously looks just like jelly on your nails. The shimmer is intense, the color is incredibly pigmented, and it's under $5! What more could you ask for?

DuWop Green Eyes Palette ($32 at beauty.com): I seriously can never get enough of these palettes. This one comes packed with tons of shadows and liners guaranteed to make your eyes pop.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus Eau de Toilette Spray ($37 at elizabetharden.com): Ready for summer? Then spritz a little bit of this floral fragrance on your pulse points and sniff away ... you'll be transported to warm, sandy beaches and beautifully sunny days.

Shu Uemura Premium Velvet Feather False Eyelashes in Deep Forest ($50 at nordstrom.com): Okay. All I can say about these is WOW. Does it get any more dramatic than a set of dark green feathers stuck on your eyelashes for a night out on the town? I think not.

Lush Luck of the Irish Bath Bomb ($7.95 at lush.com): Well, what would St. Patty's day be without a little shamrock action? Feel lucky when you drop this lemongrass-and-avocado-infused baby into the bath.

Yes to Cucumbers Cleansing Cucumber Shower Gel ($8.99 at walgreens.com): Now, I know what you're thinking. Cucumber as the main ingredient in a shower gel? I don't want to smell like a salad! Well, the good news is, you won't. You'll just feel totally refreshed and energized after lathering up.
