The Most Indulgent "Thymes" Table: Thymes Body Washes

Recently, I decided to fill my shower with body washes from Thymes. I've long been a fan of the divine scents and beautiful packaging, so I was beyond thrilled to include three of the line's body washes in my arsenal. (The Red Cherie candle is still one of my all-time favorites.) Here's how they stacked up.

Wild Angelica Shower Gel
One of the body washes from the Garden Alchemy collection. From the start, I loved this body wash for the packaging. For me, it calls to mind a painting of the Virgin Mary -- which, even though I'm Jewish, I still find beautiful. Notes of green ivy, red magnolia blossoms, wild angelica, verdant galbanum and dusky violet petals give this one a sensuous feel. I love to use it at the end of a long day, as it calms and relaxes the senses.

Agave Nectar Body Wash
I'm becoming more and more entranced by agave, both for my skin and in the foods that I eat. The citrusy scent of this body wash is crisp and delicious, plus it works to soften and soothe skin -- perfect after a long, hot day in the sun.

Lemon Geranium Shower Gel
Another one from the Garden Alchemy collection -- and my personal favorite of the three seen here. I wasn't sure I'd like the scent, since geraniums aren't really my favorite flower. But color me surprised, because thanks to the inclusion of dewy muguet, honeysuckle, green armoise, Tonka bean and earthen tree moss, it's seductive, sexy -- overwhelming in the best possible way.

And, with all of the bottles, I love that they are adorned with a satin ribbon, which really makes them stand out from the crowd of soaps and shower gels I've tried before. It's just such a pretty, delicate touch that really makes each bottle feel special. I did find that more is better when pouring onto a pouf -- you do need a significant amount to produce enough lather for the entire body. (Think a palm-sized dollop.) This will cause the body washes to be used faster, of course, but at least then you'll smell utterly gorgeous from head to toe.

The Best Hand Soaps: Thymes Bergamot Vert Hand Wash

I've always been a fan of luxury hand soaps. Not that there's anything wrong with Softsoap or Dove, but once in awhile a girl's gotta wash up with something a bit more fabulous! So I'm introducing a new series with some of my very favorite hand soaps -- check out Thymes Bergamot Vert Hand Wash.

A citrusy hand soap that lathers, foams and makes my skin feel super clean? What a win. This hand soap does it all and more, thanks to a combination of Vitamins C and E and Panthenol. Lusts of the Week

Did everyone watch Project Runway last night? Well if not, proceed with caution ... because there's a SPOILER AHEAD! I am so glad Kenley didn't win. Between Korto and Leanne, I wasn't too picky -- but Leanne's collection was definitely more innovative, so kudos to her. And now on to more important matters ... my fave products of the week! I've been super-stressed, so I've been lusting after products to relax and calm me. And what better way to do that than by lighting a delicious scented candle and settling back on my comfy couch? These are the two that have been, well, lighting up my life this past week.

Cheery for Thymes Red Cherie

I am passionately obsessed with candles. I can't help it ... if I see an interesting jar or smell an intoxicating scent, it's all over. I have to have it. To that end, my entire apartment is cluttered with candles. At last count, I think I had about 40 laying around. (And no, this is not an exaggeration.) One that I kept staring at but never lit was my Thymes Red Cherie Candle. I've literally had this one for about six months and it remained in its box, just waiting for the day I decided to light it.

Now, in all fairness, I don't really light candles in the summer. It's just too darn hot. But last night was an exception ... I turned off the air conditioning for awhile, settled down to read a book and -- lo and behold! -- my eyes fell on this candle. It seemed to be calling to me, just waiting to be unwrapped from its packaging and lit. And so I obliged ... and, oh my goodness, what on earth I have been missing!

To start with, the jar is absolutely gorgeous. A leafy vine wends its way around subtly frosted glass, creating an air of tranquility and calm. It's so beautiful, it simply begs to be put on a vanity or dresser in a place of importance. But once lit, wow. The blend of sparkling pomegranate, cherries, passion flower, lychee and fruity musk is simply delightful. It's not too strong or heavy, and doesn't leave my apartment smelling like ripe fruit for days ... instead, it's understated and elegant, the absolute perfect scent for a night spent curled up on the couch with a good book and a heavy down comforter.

Even better, this candle burns for up to 40 hours. But now that I feel guilty about not burning it for so long, I have a feeling those hours are going to tick away quite quickly!

A Rose By Any Other Name: Thymes Kimono Rose Candle

Ever on the quest for the perfect candle (my faithful readers already know this about me), I am constantly burning new scents and brands. As a matter of fact, I have a new one burning as I write this! And I believe it could be one of the best ones yet. What is this magical candle of which I speak? Why, none other than the Thymes Kimono Rose Candle, of course.

How do I even begin to describe its beauty? Well, let's start with the packaging. It arrives in its own little cardboard house, shaped much like a Chinese takeout carton and decorated with a gorgeous floral print. Once removed, it will entice you even further with the sweeping pin-dotted floral design painted on its glass jar. This makes it almost -- almost -- worth it.

But then the heady aroma seeps out, and it's all over. Sweet clementine ... sumptuous cassis ... lovely rose, peony and jasmine ... all finally layered with luscious vanilla. It's so intoxicating, you'll feel the need to burn the candle immediately! (Well, at least this beauty chick did.)

Luckily, it has a burn time of 40 hours.
