Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: China Glaze Raspberry Festival
As soon as I saw China Glaze Raspberry Festival -- part of the Summer Days Collection -- had this gorgeous jelly finish, I just knew I had to try it immediately.
And here's what I can say. W-O-W. Nail polish with a jelly finish certainly isn't playing around! Not only is this polish one of the most gorgeous colors I've seen in quite some time, but it dries to a highly glossy, highly pigmented, unbelievably glittery, totally smooth finish that just has to be seen to be believed.
I decided to paint my toes with this color, because it's the perfect shade of -- you guessed it -- raspberry. It's this gorgeous shimmer-flecked berry that glistens in the light so beautifully. Two coats don't even require a topcoat, though I can't be parted with my Seche Vite, so the color came out all the more glossy.
And the best part? Two weeks later, my pedi is still totally intact without a single chip. I've never seen anything like it!
China Glaze Raspberry Festival retails for $2.68 at 8ty8beauty.com.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara

So you know how the other day I mentioned my huge pet peeve with Dior mascaras? Well, I think it's time I step outside of my Dior box. And what better way to do that than with the new L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara? I mean, I say when you try something, you go all the way. And this double-ended mascara wand sure has got me jumping for joy.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Dove Go Fresh Body Wash in Energize Grapefruit & Lemongrass
I'm a skeptic. Whenever I see a product that claims to enhance my feeling of awakeness, I just don't believe it. Seriously, how can a body wash actually make me feel like I slept more than 5 hours? Well, Dove Go Fresh Body Wash in Energize Grapefruit & Lemongrass honestly does the trick.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Olay Body Wash Plus Body Butter Ribbons

Body wash and lotion in one? Sign this gal up! I was intrigued by Olay Body Wash Plus Body Butter Ribbons as soon as I laid eyes on the bottle. Promises of "intense moisturization," "fragrant lather" and "the ability to visibly improve skin in just 5 days" really got this beauty chick wondering. So of course I headed into the shower immediately to test it out and report back the findings!
And you know what? This lovely purple bottle delivers. We're talking such smooth skin, I might as well be a baby. (You know, the whole "smooth as a baby's bottom" idiom.) My legs don't even need extra moisturizer rubbed in after my shower anymore! Not to mention the rich and heady scent, which just makes the whole shower experience that much more delightful.
My findings? This body wash is utterly and completely worth it. And the fact that it rings up under $10 just makes it all the more enticing.
Olay Body Wash Plus Body Butter Ribbons retails for $4.79 at drugstore.com.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Suave Daily Exfoliating Body Wash

I’ll admit it -- I’m a snob when it comes to body wash. My shower is cluttered with Jaqua, Philosophy and other boutique brands. Not that I find anything wrong with the less expensive varieties -- I just like to pamper myself with the ones I consider more luxurious. But in these trying economic times, I decided to bite the bullet and try one that was -- gasp! -- under $10. So I went with Suave Daily Exfoliating Body Wash, because the bottle was huge and the fact that it’s formulated with apricot seeds and coconut extract intrigued me.
And you know what? I am totally and completely hooked. The miniature moisturizing beads leave my skin feeling soft and supple even if the freezing temperatures outside are trying to ravage it and turn it into a chapped, raw mess. No matter how many times I lather up, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, which is more than I can say for some of those more expensive brands! Not to mention it smells absolutely divine -- slightly summery and juicy.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Bath & Body Works Holiday Traditions Deep Cleansing Soap with Snowman Bottle
Longest name in the world aside, this might just be one of the most adorable soaps I've ever seen. Bath & Body Works Holiday Traditions Deep Cleansing Soap with Snowman Bottle is just so perfect for the holiday season, it might as well just walk its way into my bathroom and stay there.
Seriously, how cute is this little snowman? His top hat doubles as the soap dispenser, while his round body is accented with little black buttons and contains soap in the sweet Vanilla Bean Noel scent. (More about that in a moment.) He even gets to wear adorable red mittens! He just looks so happy to be giving out pump after pump of soap, it would be a shame not to let him do his job during the holiday season.
The soap itself is a delectable scent of vanilla, formulated with caramel and cream to make it heady, deep and deliciously rich. And it makes skin unbelievably soft, what with its infusion of Vitamins B and E to moisturize and nourish. Better still, it contains cleansing beads that not only smooth rough patches but just feel, well, cool.
And the best part? He doesn't melt.
Available for $10 at bathandbodyworks.com.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Special Offer on Stila Lip Glaze
I could wax on for years about how much I love Stila Lip Glaze. A few of the myriad reasons:
1) I love the clickable tube.
2) I love the brush that swipes on just the right amount of color.
3) I love the multitude of wearable shades available.
4) I love that it's not sticky or tacky.
5) I love that it lasts for hours without fading.
6) I love that my hair never gets caught on my lips when I wear it.
(Are those enough reasons for you?)
So, gals, it only stands to reason that I am psyched about this week's Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays column. Because one of my all time faves, Stila Lip Glaze, is on super mega special for a limited time only. Certain shades are being offered up for only TEN DOLLARS at stila.com. Considering they're normally $22 a pop ... seriously, how fabulous is that?
Check out the gorgeous shades that you can snap up for a mere fraction of the price:
Fig (sparkly lavender)
Peach Cobbler (sheer, shimmery peach)
Plum (glittery deep purple)
Pomegranate (glimmering bright purple)
Pon Pon Gerbera (sheer, shimmery peachy pink)
My fave is definitely Pon Pon Gerbera. It's beautiful, gorgeous and totally wearable. But at this price, I am totally stocking up on each and every one! Because, let's face it, what's better than having a different Lip Glaze for every day of the week?

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Sweet Grass Farm Liquid Soap
I'm always on the lookout for new hand soaps to try. Softsoap just really doesn't seem to cut it in my book! And while Jaqua tends to make my soaps of choice (click here for my account on how fabulous they are), I am definitely aware that there are other amazing versions out there. So when I came across Sweet Grass Farm Liquid Soap, I simply had to give it a try.
And you know what? I am so, so glad I did. This stuff is seriously fabulous for so many reasons! Not only does it smell absolutely amazing (my fave scent is definitely Lavender), but it moisturizes and conditions my parched and winter-ravaged skin to the point of utter unbelievableness.
Formulated with natural glycerin and tons of vitamins, it really does work to keep skin soft and smooth. Sweet Grass Farm even claims it can be used as a body wash or shampoo! And while I've so far only tried it as a soap, I can definitely see how this could be true.
If Lavender isn't really your scent of choice, you can also try the following:
Fresh White Lilac
Lemon Verbena
Each scent is utterly refreshing and fragrant. And with the onset of winter, it's nice to have some summerness in the bathroom!
Sweet Grass Farm Liquid Soap retails for $8.95 at sweetgrassonline.com.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Seche Ridge Filling Base Coat
I've been cursed with deep ridges in my nails. Whether it's from lack of vitamins or just a genetic thing, my nails often have ridges so deep they look like hills and valleys. Not necessarily the best look when trying to apply polish! The ridges keep my nails from being smooth, obviously, but they also severely inhibit my ability to make polish look even. That is, until I discovered Seche Ridge Filling Base Coat.
All I can say is, WOW. One quick coat of this and my nails seriously look as though they're as smooth and flat as a plain. No hills or valleys in sight! And they feel utterly sleek as well, so when I run my fingers over them they don't have any of those mountainous peaks.
Best of all, though, is the fact that it dries quickly and completely smudge-free ... and polish adheres so wonderfully to the nail that I'm utterly amazed every time I use it! It helps my polish to last for days without chipping, and also makes polish somehow miraculously stay out of my nail beds and cuticles. Who knew it was possible?
And
Seche Ridge Filling Base Coat is available on 8ty8beauty.com.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Sephora Girl Mini Bath Beads Set
Strawberry Candy. Icy Lemon. How delicious do those flavors sound? I've gotta admit, they sound pretty darn fantastic to this beauty chick. Luckily, the Sephora Girl Mini Bath Bead Set has all that and more!
Each of the four bottles included in this set is filled to the brimming with bath seeds in delectably girly scents. Add Sweet Almond and Coconut to the aforementioned Strawberry Candy and Icy Lemon, and you've got yourself one heck of a bath party! I'm a big fan of running as much as possible under the bath water -- we're talking a good three or four capfuls at least -- so that the bath is really foamy, bubbly and amazingly scented.
And can we just talk about the adorable packaging? Where else could you find such fun, feisty pictures than on a product from the Sephora Girls line? My fave is definitely the redhead with the flirty ponytail and the chic pursed lips. Just screams sassy!
But the best part? The price, of course! This entire set will only set you back $6 on sephora.com. Yes, $6! Can you believe it? Bath time just got a lot more fun -- and economical.

Wallet-Friendly Wednesdays: Gianna Rose Atelier Tres Chic! Soaps
The fashionista in me is unbelievably drawn to these soaps by Gianna Rose Atelier. Fashioned in the shape of a dressmaker's form, each Tres Chic! soap is quite possibly one of the cutest things I've ever seen.
