So I made sure to have a really hard day at work before I came home to test this baby out. I hunched over at my computer all day, drank way too many Diet Cokes and let lots of insignificant emails from coworkers make me want to scream. I just kept thinking about the body wash's intent -- that it works with the warmth of your shower to release emotional tension and moisturize your skin.
As soon as I got home, I immediately turned the shower on and hopped in, uncapping the bottle eagerly to see whether this would actually happen. I followed the instructions -- I took deep breaths to savor the relaxing scent, stretched my head and neck muscles slowly, and massaged the product into my neck and shoulders while letting warm water run over me. I have to say that at first, the scent actually kind of bothered me. I'm not really that into lavender in general -- it tends to be too cloying and give me a headache -- and this definitely was heading in that direction. But then, all of a sudden I started smelling almost a fruity center that really made the whole fragrance open up and give off an aroma that was just really wonderful and inviting. I definitely began to feel less stressed and achy as well ... I'm not sure if it was due to the deep breathing and stretching or to the body wash, but on subsequent occasions I've also felt less stressed, so you do the math!
All in all, I'd say this is a pleasant way to spend $7.65 ... especially when you consider the cost of a good massage these days!
