Two-For Tuesdays: Tarte Lock & Roll Creaseless Cream & Powder Eyeshadow Duo

Tarte, Tarte Lock & Roll Creaseless Cream & Powder Eyeshadow Duo, eyeshadow, eye shadow, cream eyeshadow, makeup, eye makeup

Powder or cream? Why not both? You can get the best of both worlds when you play around with the Tarte Lock & Roll Creaseless Cream & Powder Shadow Duo.

Let me let you in on a little secret. This product is sheer genius. One end has a cream, the other has a rollerball filled with glittery goodness. Now, you all know how I feel about rollerball fragrances (if you forgot, click here), so I figured I'd give it a shot with eyeshadow too. And wow, was I ever thrilled!

So here's how the duo works. Now, I definitely recommend pulling out the UDPP for this one. The cream will most definitely crease if you don't adequately protect your lids with primer. Once your lids are sufficiently primered, whip out the brush from the cream side and paint them with a sufficient amount of product. Wait two minutes for it to try, then take the rollerball and roll it back and forth a few times over your lid to add the shimmery finish. The end result? Gorgeous, creamy color with enough sparkle to make it a fun look for daytime or a rockin' look for evening!

And the best part is, it comes in tons of colors that are perfect for any occasion. Choose from the following (the picture at the top is at color order):

Amethyst
Bronze
Gunmetal
Patina
Quartz
Rose Gold
Slate

My favorite is Gunmetal, a shimmery deep grey which literally gets me compliments every time I wear it. Each duo is $17 at tartecosmetics.com.

  1. Oooo! That sounds gorgeous... thanks for reviewing these. I adore cream/liquid/brush type shadows. Gunmetal sounds nice and the Amethyst. Yeah for purple!
