One of the people whose reviews I always trust? Kristen Oldham Giordani, the Senior Editor at Total Beauty. I've known Kristen for a few years now, and I always know I can trust her review of a product implicitly. In her own words, here's Kristen's beauty indulgence.

My beauty indulgence is the Kinara Red Carpet Facial Kit. Though it's a bit pricey at $145, it's more than worth it. The 3-step treatment includes a 2-step lactic acid peel and a mask. It's the at-home version of the uber popular treatment at the Kinara Spa in Los Angeles (which I've also had and this totally measures up).

What I love about this kit is that it comes with a little dish and brush to apply the peel and mask -- a simple addition that makes the experience more luxurious and spa-like. You apply the peel first (step 1) and follow that with the neutralizer (step 2). The neutralizer somehow makes the peel really tingle on your skin -- the same tingle I felt during the facial I had at the spa. Following the peel you'll apply the final step, the mask. It's light green in color and has a fluffy, almost mousse-y texture. It has a subtle cooling effect and is a super relaxing way to end the peel process.

Overall the at-home kit did for me what my in-the-spa facial did (for a lot less cash -- this kit will give you many many applications). So if you can't splurge on a spa peel, this is a sweet alternative and a true indulgence. It leaves skin glowing and helps prevent breakouts if done regularly (like weekly, which is what Olga Lorencin, owner of the Kinara Spa recommends).
