My New Favorite Ritual: Fresh Sake Ritual Set

If a gift set more divine than the Fresh Sake Ritual Set exists, I certainly haven't found it. To begin with, the packaging is gorgeous. I love the floral-printed box -- so useful for storage after removing the products from within -- and so beautiful displayed atop my vanity.

But it's what's within the box that really and truly counts. This set contains three alcoholic-themed bath items -- so you can experience all the joys alcohol has to offer with none of the horrible next-day hangovers.

If you want to bathe yourself in sake, Sake Bath really is the way to go. It smells exactly like the Japanese rice-based alcoholic beverage -- and, truth be told, I'm a big fan of that scent. It bubbles, froths and foams delightfully well, making any bubble bath (or, in my case, shower, as all I have is a stall shower) quite wonderful.

Suds up with the Cranberry Pinot Noir Soap. Notes of bitter almonds, violet, rose and black cherry combine with aged Pinot Noir and cranberry to create an intoxicating aroma that, once unwrapped from the pretty printed crimson packaging, melds beautifully into the creamy soap within.

And finally, the piece de resistance: the travel-sized Sake Petite Candle. A swirling signature motif graces the front, while a lush scent wafts out from the jar ... an aroma inspired by geishas' ancient rituals of infusing their sake baths with real peaches.

The Fresh Sake Ritual Set retails for $95 at fresh.com.
