Mani of the Week: Essie To Buy or Not to Buy

You know those nail polishes that look amazing in the bottle, but once you put them on, you're just not as thrilled as you were a moment before? Well, that's how I'm feeling about Essie To Buy or Not to Buy, one of the colors from the Spring 2012 collection. In the bottle, it's a gorgeous pale lavender with lots of blue shimmer. On the nail, it's chalky, streaky and looks more white than lavender -- and the shimmer is basically non-existent, even in sunlight.

So why am I even showing this color to you? Well, I chose it for the week and don't have time to redo my nails before I go to Pittsburgh for work -- and I think it's important to show the good and the bad nail polish choices I make!
