I went through my nail polish stash today and realized I had a lot of
dove grey nail polish hanging around! I decided to bring you a post of four polishes that look almost identical in the bottle, but are all completely different on the nail. Read on for pictures and my takes on these colors from
Zoya,
butter LONDON,
OPI and
RGB!
Zoya Dove is a pure dove grey both in the bottle and on the nail. One coat is a bit streaky, but the second coat yields an opaque hue with just a touch of patchiness. I definitely like the color, although I wish it applied better. Seen here with two coats.

butter LONDON Billy No Mates is more grey in the bottle than on the nail. On the nail it actually reads a touch more white! This was my favorite of the four shades -- it applied like a dream and will be equally stunning in the summer as it is in winter. Seen here with two coats.

OPI My Pointe Exactly is one of the colors from this year's
NYC Ballet Soft Shades Collection. And if you're thinking the bottle looks tiny, you're right -- I bought a mini in Boston a few months ago! In any case, this applies
extremely sheer. It's seen here with four coats and it's still not completely opaque! I actually like it, but I'm glad I knew going in that it wasn't opaque or I would have been disappointed.
RGB Dove is another one that looks very grey in the bottle, but reads whiter on the nail. While I love RGB, this wasn't my favorite nail polish of theirs -- it was a bit chalkier than I would have liked, both in color and formula. It did apply well in two coats, though.
