I had been wanting a pair of hipster frames for awhile. My glasses wardrobe had been fairly boring -- I would wear only one pair for years at a time, and I just wanted the opportunity to change them as frequently as I change my sunglasses! Warby Parker has so many vintage-inspired frames to choose from, I simply had to check them out.
During my visit to the New York showroom, I was impressed by the sheer number of cool frames awaiting my try-on. And try on I did! I must have tried at least 20 pairs before landing on the Preston in Gimlet Tortoise, seen above. I love the yellowish hue of the tortoiseshell, the fact that they're oversized but not too big for my face, and the melding of both square and circular frame shapes, which gives them a unique feel. (I also bought the Webb in Whiskey Tortoise Matte.)
"Two pairs of glasses?" you must be wondering. "Wasn't that expensive?" And my answer to you is, NO! Each pair is $95 for both the frames and the lenses. Yes, you can get an amazing pair of glasses for under $100! But what I really love is that for each pair you buy, Warby Parker donates a pair to a person in need.
And if you don't live near a Warby Parker showroom, never fear. You can take advantage of their Home Try-On Program, which gives you the opportunity to try five pairs of glasses for five days, completely free.
So, really, what are you waiting for? Awesome glasses await. Just visit warbyparker.com to get started.
