How to Keep a Blowout Going for Days: Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Shampoo

I've never really been a dry shampoo user. All of the ones I try just end up making my hair feel crunchier and dirtier than before -- and do nothing to hide oiliness or greasiness at the roots! But when I discovered Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Shampoo, I instantly changed my tune.

This was one of the products in last month's Birchbox -- and, I have to say, one of my favorites yet! I got an adequately sized sample, so I've really been able to test it out multiple times to make sure my first fabulous experience wasn't a fluke. And, to my surprise and delight, it wasn't. At all.

While every other dry shampoo I've used makes my hair feel WORSE, this one actually makes it look and feel like I just stepped out of the salon. Even on day five of a blowout, a few quick spritzes and my hair is totally back in business. It's really incredible to me how this product soaks up any extra grease and instantly refreshes and revives my hair. The cedar extract and cornstarch based formula is lightweight and doesn't leave behind any residue.

I will admit I was a tad apprehensive when I read that I should apply it, wait two minutes and then flip my hair over to brush it through. Normally, flipping my hair upside down results in so much volume, I look like I just stuck my hand in an outlet. Not so with this dry shampoo, which retains my hair's shape (read: as flat as humanly possible) but just makes it feel CLEAN.

So, my conclusion is this. If you want to try a dry shampoo, go for this one. Your hair will thank you. Even on day five.

Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Shampoo retails for $25 at beauty.com.
