Salon and Spa Directory: Studio Booth

Studio Booth, salon, salon and spa directory, hair salon, spa, blowout, haircut, hair, hairstylist, review
If there's one thing I've had to get used to since moving to Pittsburgh, it's the fact that blowout bars don't exist here. Add to that the fact that all salons are closed on Sundays (and most on Mondays as well) and my hair is definitely a little unhappy. Well, until I discovered the fabulousness that is Studio Booth, that is.

I'd been hearing about this salon since before I moved to Pittsburgh, and kept seeing it during my trips to Trader Joe's (it's located right next door in the Village of Eastside Plaza). I decided to check it out for myself a couple weeks ago. I called Studio Booth on a Saturday morning and miraculously, they were able to fit me in that very day. The salon is bright, open and airy -- and filled with a staff of the nicest people I've found in a salon in quite some time. Everyone from the receptionist to the girl who washed my hair couldn't have been more pleasant.

I was teamed up with Wendy -- who, as it turns out, is my good friend Addie's hairstylist! I had the feeling I was in good hands when not only did Wendy know exactly how to style my hair without me even saying a word (for the record, it was super straight and sleek, parted in the middle and flat ironed).

But, even better than that, Wendy gave me a much needed trim and MADE MY HAIR LOOK INCREDIBLE. I hadn't had it cut in a few months and just needed the ends worked on a bit -- which, in the past, has been cause for disaster with new stylists. Well, I had nothing to fear, because Wendy worked her magic and within minutes my tresses were looking absolutely gorgeous.

For both my trim and blowout, the final total was $95. Not too bad for a last minute appointment! This is one salon I'll definitely be visiting again.
