This collection is inspired by the springtime gardens of Paris. I can say from my personal experience of spending an afternoon in the Jardin de Tuileries that Tenderly, which is described as purple rosewood, would fit right in. This color is a rich, deep mauve that, to me, acts as a neutral. I actually think it's fairly similar to the color I chose last week, China Glaze Release -- I guess I am in a deep mauve kind of mood right now.
I will say that I chose to wear Tenderly this week for a fairly somber reason. My dear grandmother (whom I called Bubby) passed away on Friday at the age of 88. Her funeral was yesterday. I wanted to wear a color that wasn't ostentatious but wasn't a pale pink, and I thought this was a color my Bubby would have liked. She always loved lilacs, and this color makes me think of them.
This is definitely a color I will wear for years to come. It's one of those shades I couldn't help but purchase!
