#ManiMonday: Chanel Tenderly from the Spring 2015 Reverie Parisienne Collection

I really wish Chanel would stop tempting me with such beautiful colors already. Really, Chanel. STOP IT RIGHT NOW. Okay, don't. Because with the introduction of Chanel Tenderly from the Spring 2015 Reverie Parisienne Collection, there's just one more I HAD to add to my collection.

This collection is inspired by the springtime gardens of Paris. I can say from my personal experience of spending an afternoon in the Jardin de Tuileries that Tenderly, which is described as purple rosewood, would fit right in. This color is a rich, deep mauve that, to me, acts as a neutral. I actually think it's fairly similar to the color I chose last week, China Glaze Release -- I guess I am in a deep mauve kind of mood right now.

I will say that I chose to wear Tenderly this week for a fairly somber reason. My dear grandmother (whom I called Bubby) passed away on Friday at the age of 88. Her funeral was yesterday. I wanted to wear a color that wasn't ostentatious but wasn't a pale pink, and I thought this was a color my Bubby would have liked. She always loved lilacs, and this color makes me think of them.

This is definitely a color I will wear for years to come. It's one of those shades I couldn't help but purchase!

What's on your nails right now? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Beautiful shade that similar to one of my Zoya color, maybe Odette?

  2. The name fits the shade so well! Chanel always releases beautiful shades.

  3. This is such a gorgeous muted shade on you!

  4. Oh wow - I have to get my hands on this!

  5. I am rocking a similar shade from Mineral Fusion. It's beautiful, well it's Chanel :-)

  6. What a beautiful all-year-round mauve! It can be worn to work or on nights out.

  7. This is such an adorable everyday shade.

  8. Gorgeous shade! I love the combo of mauve and grey tones.
