#ManiMonday: Essie The Girls Are Out

Can spring PLEASE make its (long overdue) appearance already? I know the first day of spring was technically just last week, but since it's been so darn cold, I'm just more ready than ever. ESPECIALLY since we were totally teased with a 65-degree day last week (and, as I write this, it's a whopping 18 degrees). However, I decided to tempt spring to reappear with my manicure this week -- and so I trotted out Essie The Girls Are Out.

This color is originally from the Essie Summer 2013 Collection, and I first used it that July. And you know what? The silver shimmer-tinged fuchsia hue is just as stunningly gorgeous now as it was then! It's bright, it's bold, it's daring -- and it just makes me so excited for shorts and flip flops weather.

I really love that the shimmer in this polish is noticeable without being overwhelming. At first glance, it's just a really beautiful fuchsia -- and then, as you keep looking, you start to see the shimmer peek through. Two coats yield perfectly opaque color.

What's on your nails right now? Let me know in the comments!

Essie The Girls Are Out retails for $8.50 at beauty.com.
