Throwback Thursday: Crested Bangs and Denim on Denim (AKA My Canadian Tuxedo)

Remember the high, crested, super hairsprayed bangs of the 1980s and early 1990s? How about the first time you wore denim on denim? Well, as you can see here, I once decided to try both trends at the same time.

I would put this photo at about 1992, which makes me 12. Bangs were pretty much always the bane of my existence (click here for the proof), but I tried my darndest to make them look as good as I could! I never could quite get my bangs to stand up over a foot in the air, so I went more for a crested look with some pieces coming down my forehead.

But what's even better? My Canadian Tuxedo, of course! That's definitely some major denim on denim action happening here. I have to say, I really loved that sleeveless denim button down shirt -- I wore it ALL. THE. TIME. I'm pretty sure it was by Arizona Jeans Co. And those rolled up denim Bermuda shorts? Quite fashionable, n'est-ce pas? (Okay, I'm being a little sarcastic, but come on -- it was 1992!)

And yes, I know my hair is pretty huge here. I didn't know about the wonder of the flat iron yet.
