DAY 1: FAVORITE RIDE / CHOICE: DUMBO
“You know, lots of people with big ears are famous!”
I have to admit I was very nervous about this challenge at first and really didn’t know how to create bounds inspired by THINGS instead of CHARACTERS. But once I sat down to brainstorm, starting with my favorite ride, I started storyboarding the days out and the creative floodgates opened!
I’ve actually been wanting to bound as Dumbo for awhile, because it really is my favorite ride in the park! It’s so magical and always makes me feel happy. So not only did this challenge come at the perfect time, but it was the perfect excuse to wear my ASOS grey jumpsuit! I teamed it with a yellow ASOS beanie (because sometimes Dumbo wears a yellow hat, too!) and Betty and Veronica red heart sunglasses to mimic Dumbo’s red scarf.
DAY 2: FAVORITE PARK SNACK / CHOICE: POPCORN
This was actually the day that spurred my creativity for the entire challenge. I first thought of pretzels, but then popcorn “popped” into my mind and the butter started to sizzle, so to speak!
I love the popcorn at Disneyland, both because it’s freaking delicious and because it often comes with special popcorn buckets! I collected four this year and have them displayed on a bookcase in my apartment!
For this outfit, I paired the Free People dress I received in my last Nuuly box with a TON of popcorn-related accessories. I was already in love with this dress, but realizing it could stand in for popcorn made it my new favorite thing! I’d also been obsessing over this bag on Amazon for awhile, because come on -- isn’t it adorable?!? So I obviously had to own it.

Okay. Now I want popcorn. Pardon me while I run back to Disneyland for another box...🍿
DAY 3: FAVORITE LAND / CHOICE: ADVENTURELAND
“To live will be an awfully big adventure.”
This was the hardest day of the challenge for me. I felt stumped for AWHILE trying to figure out how to bound as a land, especially with the pieces already in my wardrobe.
Then, all of a sudden, EUREKA!! I’d received this incredible Coldesina jumpsuit in my Nuuly box and realized, HEY! It’s the perfect depiction of the wilds of Adventureland, and especially of the Jungle Cruise!

Adventureland is always worth a stop in Disneyland for me for a couple reasons: the Indiana Jones ride (I HAVE to ride it every time I’m at Disneyland), and because it’s one of the places in the park to get a big pickle and a pineapple spear (one of my favorite snack combos)!
I’m off to adventure through the wilds now. Hopefully there won’t be any snakes along the way!
DAY 4: FAVORITE MEET AND GREET / CHOICE: MINNIE MOUSE
The polka dots. The shoes. The ears. The STYLE. Is it any wonder that I chose the queen of Disneyland herself, Minnie Mouse?
As soon as I saw the challenge for this day, I knew exactly what I wanted to do: snap some pics with Minnie Mouse at her house in Toon Town! I love all of the adorable little details throughout the house, like her vanity and her kitchen. And of course I love spending some girl time with Miss Minnie!

I’ve owned this Monki polka dot jumpsuit for awhile -- and if I said I bought it for any other reason than to wear it at Disneyland in a Minnie bound, I’d be lying. It has made other appearances, certainly, but its main purpose was and always will be to pay homage to Minnie! I teamed it with Aldo yellow peep-toe flats and my oversized Minnie bow headband -- and, I have to say, I felt pretty darn fabulous!
DAY 5: FAVORITE SHOW / CHOICE: MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE
“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination in 1000s of sparkling lights and electro-synth-magnetic musical sounds. The Main Street Electrical Parade!”
I first experienced this parade at Disney World when I was 10 years old. I then saw it there again when I was 31 ... and it’s been at Disneyland twice in the past 4 years. Now, can I just say, I LOVE THIS PARADE!!!!
For the most part, I can take or leave parades -- except for this one! Every time I hear the music, it brings me joy. Every time I see the electric ladybugs and sparkly Elliot come around the corner, I brim with glee. And every time I get to experience this parade again, it’s like the very first time! The Main Street Electrical Parade is just one of those special Disney moments that gets inside your heart and soul. You’ll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t love it!

Location 3: At the famous Small World wall. |
I took photos for this bound in three different locations around Disneyland ... because the parade moves, of course! And if anyone tells me this Akira dress and sparkly Doc Martens boot combo doesn’t scream Main Street Electrical Parade ... well, I just don’t know what to tell you!
DAY 6: FAVORITE HOTEL / CHOICE: THE DISNEYLAND HOTEL
I’ve got stars in my eyes ... AND on my boots!
We may not have as many hotels in Disneyland as there are in Disney World, but that doesn’t mean I can’t pick a favorite just the same!
As soon as I saw this day’s theme, I knew exactly how to create the look -- centered around my amazing JustFab star-embroidered booties to represent the Sorcerer’s Hat, of course! My Eileen Fisher gown and Cakeworthy Mickey Peace Sign Purse were the obvious accompaniments to pull the whole look together.

I love the Disneyland Hotel for so many reasons -- the amazing themed teas, the Dapper Day conventions, and the headboards that light up and play music in the rooms are just a few. The Sorcerer’s Hat and stars out front are just the icing on the Disney hotel cake!
DAY 7: FAVORITE PARK LOOK
My go-to outfit at Disneyland is a cross between cute and comfy, especially if I’m there for a full day (like I was when I took this pic!). I typically go for a black dress (this one by Calvin Klein is my fave), and I team it with Converse kicks (so I can walk for miles but still look cute) and Minnie ears, of course!
My ear collection has steadily grown over the past couple years and I’m now at over 20 pairs! I’d been wanting this pair for awhile -- I love the fun pink polka dots and the satin backing. I also like to keep my outfit simple most of the time so my ears can take center stage!
I hope you enjoyed strolling around Disneyland with me in various Disney bounds! Which one was your favorite? Would you ever try Disney bounding? Let me know in the comments!
What fun you had, Jamie!
