The #BoundingWithPride 2022 Challenge Wrapup!

Post a comment!

Nine Disney Bound Looks for the #BoundingWithPride 2022 Challenge.
Every June, I look forward to the #BoundingWithPride challenge hosted by @thedisneybound. Being an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community is extremely important to me — and I’m here to do that not just this week or during Pride Month, but all year long! This bounding challenge encourages people to build a rainbow by creating bounds every day featuring a different color of the Pride Flag. It's my third year participating in this challenge — here are the Disney characters I chose this year!

The March 2022 #DisneyBoundChallenge Wrapup!

Post a comment!

Jamie Allison Sanders is bounding as Kermit from The Muppets for the March 2022 #DisneyBoundChallenge.
March was a busy month — because I participated in all 31 days of the #disneyboundchallenge! This annual Instagram challenge hosted by @thedisneybound is always a lot of work AND a lot of fun. It's an amazing opportunity to not only be creative, but to see everyone else's creativity in the bounding community as well! It was my third year participating in the challenge, and the first time I actually posted a bound every single day.

I even shot 23 new bounds, which is definitely a record for me! To only have 8 reposts made me feel really proud of everything I accomplished this month. And now, for the looks!

Reviewed: Disneyland Merriest Nites After-Hours Party

Post a comment!

Disneyland Merriest Nites After-Hours Party.
My mom and I went to Merriest Nites After-Hours Party at Disneyland and had the most magical, fun-filled, obviously merriest time! Neither of us had ever been to an after hours event at @disneyland before, and we went in just hoping for a fun night with new experiences. Well, we got that in spades! We donned our matching Hot Topic Minnie Mouse sweatshirts and ShopDisney Mickey Christmas Cookie ears, and away we went! From exclusive food options to character meet and greets, this was a night like no other. In all my times at Disneyland, I’ve never had one like this! Read on for a look at what we did — and what you can expect if Merriest Nites comes back!

Halloween may be over, but you know what? Spooky season is still living rent free in my head for at least another week or two! (Hey, I mean, someone's gotta eat all the candy I bought for myself this year.) I figured this was the perfect time to do a roundup of all my spooky season outfits! From participating in the month-long Instagram challenge #Boundoween (hosted by @thedisneybound and @bounderstyle) to creating a whole week of looks dedicated to the one and only best Halloween candy — CANDY CORN! — I really enjoyed putting looks together this month. Check out everything I created!

Is there any better news than the fact that Disneyland is open again? Honestly, I really don't think so. After being closed for over 400 days, it finally reopened on April 30th! I waited to go until June (at which point I went twice!), and I'm here with some tips and tricks now that things are up and running again. My #DisneyBound Year in Review: Looking Back on 2020

Post a comment!

A collection of Disney bounds created by Jamie Allison Sanders during 2020.
Do you know what it means to DisneyBound? If not, don't worry — before about two years ago, neither did I! DisneyBounding means putting together outfits inspired by Disney characters, but not dressing as the characters (which would be cosplay). So, you take pieces from your wardrobe and put them together to create different characters! I first learned about bounding from my friend Erin during our many trips to Disneyland (she is a true bounding queen), and while I had dabbled in it before 2020, I really let my creativity fly this year. Hey, I had to do something while I was just sitting in my apartment all year! Below, some of my favorite bounds of 2020.

Get to Know Lindsey Gaughan: Creator of Best Day Ever Ears Co.

Post a comment!

Lindsey Gaughan is the founder and creator of Best Day Ever Ears Co. and makes Minnie ears.
If you know me at all, you know I am a major Disney person. Every time I go to the parks (RIP right now, but in general), I plan out the perfect outfit to wear that day. And a lot of that starts with the right pair of Minnie ears! My absolute favorite small shop for Minnie ears is Best Day Ever Ears Co. Lindsey Gaughan creates so many amazing pairs of Minnie ears that truly bring joy and delight! She thinks of new designs each season (not to mention each month), and painstakingly crafts them with such love and care. The quality cannot be beat! I also love that Lindsey is now making masks during the pandemic, and of course those are just as amazing. I'm thrilled to feature her! Read on to discover how Lindsey got her start making ears, the number 1 beauty product she can't live without, and so much more.

The #BoundToParkHop Challenge: All 7 of My Disney Bound Looks!

Post a comment!

#BoundtoParkHop, Instagram photo challenge, clothing challenge, Disneyland, Disney bounding, Disney bounds, Jamie Allison Sanders
A few weeks ago, I participated in the #BoundToParkHop challenge on Instagram, where participants created looks inspired by various things around Disney. I worked extremely hard on this challenge and really pushed myself creatively, and I’m really proud of the results! I've been a major Disneyland fan for quite some time (I got my annual pass 3 days after moving to LA), and I'm always fascinated by the people who really DO Disney Bounding. My friend Erin is basically the most impressive Disney bounder there is, and I'm really grateful to her for encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone and take part in this challenge. Read on for a closer look at all 7 of my bounds!

Walt Disney World: My Top 10 List for the Happiest Place on Earth

Post a comment!

Outside the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. Can you tell how excited I am?
A little over a month ago, my family took our first vacation in almost 10 years. Before you gasp at how long it's been, don't worry -- we see each other quite often! But we just hadn't taken a trip together since 2003. In any case, the three of us decided to plan a fun-filled vacation to Disney World. Below, my list of the top 10 musts I recommend for anyone taking a trip to the happiest place on earth (and a few pictures along the way!).

My New Favorite Launch: Disney Couture's The Little Mermaid Collection

Post a comment!

Disney Couture, Disney Couture Jewelry, Disney Couture The Little Mermaid Collection, The Little Mermaid, jewelry, jewel, jewels, ring, earrings, necklace, bracelet
Look at this stuff -- isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl ... the girl who has everything?
--Part of Your World, The Little Mermaid

If it's possible for me to have a very favorite movie, The Little Mermaid would be at the top of the list. I was enamored of the story even when all I knew was the Hans Christian Andersen version -- and when the movie came out in 1989, I was instantly hooked. No matter how many times I watch it, or how many times I listen to "Part of Your World," the story gets me.

So it's only natural that I am totally in love with the new collection from Disney Couture -- The Little Mermaid Collection, of course! Check out some of my favorite pieces after the jump.

Feel Like a Princess: The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Post a comment!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Disney World, hair, hair salon, salon, hair treatment, princess, fairy tale, fairytale, fairy tale princess, fairytale princess, Disney Princess
This past weekend, I celebrated a milestone birthday. And to really do it up right, I decided to celebrate in the one place I could truly be a kid -- Walt Disney World! I went with my best friend for five days of fun in the (kind of) sun (it rained and was fairly cold part of the time!) ... and while we were there, we kept seeing little girls with sparkly princess hairdos. After consulting our guidebook, we learned that they had gone to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the Magic Kingdom, conveniently located right at the foot of Cinderella's Castle.
