The Self Care-antine Series: Joanna Vargas Daily Serum

I have what some might call a minor obsession with serums. I've tried a LOT of them, and I frequently look for ones I can use not only before moisturizer, but instead of it. Recently, I've become absolutely obsessed with Joanna Vargas Daily Serum.

This serum has quickly worked its way into being one of my favorites of all time. First of all, it's bright green -- which, I will admit, scared me a bit at first! I thought maybe I had gotten a bad bottle or something, because I had never seen a serum this shade before. But then I Googled and realized it was right -- and that was all it took to put my mind at ease! It also smells amazing -- fresh and a little sweet, but not overly cloying.

But, more than that, the serum itself is packed with a blend of high-potency antixoidants, vitamins and skin-brighteners that MAKE. SKIN. LOOK. AMAZING. The formula is lightweight and cooling, so even when LA experiences an unforeseen heat wave (like now -- 90 degrees in the middle of April?!), my skin still feels refreshed when I apply it in the morning. This serum is formulated with a mix of amazing ingredients that help to make skin look and feel fabulous:

Galactoarabinan: Derived from the larch tree and helps to exfoliate faster than any lactic or glycolic acid

Hyaluronic Acid: Retains moisture

Can you tell this serum was inspired by Joanna's love of juicing? While I don't drink as many green juices as I maybe should, I do still love them -- and I'm definitely happy to slather some serum inspired by green juice all over my skin!

I use two pumps every morning and massage it gently all over my face and neck. In only a few weeks, I've noticed a dramatic improvement in overall radiance and the appearance of my pores, not to mention my skin has been feeling SUPER hydrated! Even if I miss a day of my skincare routine here and there -- because, let's face it, that's easy to do these days -- my skin is still super soft and glowy all the time now.

Until I can go back to Joanna Vargas for another facial, this is definitely the next best thing!
