Beauty Giveaway: Nails Inc. Autumn Winter Collection
There are many reasons why I love the Nails Inc. Autumn Winter Collection.
1) The collection includes six gorgeous nail polishes in a variety of finishes -- glitter, shimmer and creme. So there's something for everyone's taste!
2) The nail polishes are in a cute mini size, which is convenient since I NEVER finish nail polish in regular-sized bottles.
3) Nails Inc. just creates the most amazing colors. Plus, I love that every polish name is taken from a street in London -- just so clever.
Curious about the six nail polishes in this gift set? They are:
Sloane Gardens (deep navy glitter)
Chester Street (pearlescent nude)
Bruton Mews (deep forest green creme)
Richmond Terrace (rich glossy plum creme)
Jermyn Street (classic taupe creme)
Chelsea Bridge Road (a rich tomato red creme)
I'm sure you'll love the polishes in this gift set just as much as I do. But here's the biggest reason you're going to love the Autumn Winter Collection ... one winner has the chance to win this set, with a retail value of $25! To enter, use the Rafflecopter widget below. Good luck!

12 Days of Favorite Nail Colors from Jamie and Katie: Nails Inc. Trafalgar Square & China Glaze For Audrey

Some people's beauty obsessions are obvious early in life. For my best friend, Katie Reed, and me, it was definitely nail polish. We've been in love with cool, bold colors since the early 90's -- we used to trade them back and forth while sitting in our high school hallways before class. For the next 12 days, we'll be bringing you some of our favorites in what we're calling 12 Days of Favorite Nail Colors.
This feature really came about over six months ago. Katie and I tossed around the idea of showing all of you our very favorite nail polishes. We originally were going to do a top 10, but I have to be honest -- it was impossible to only pick 12 shades! Over a weekend in Boston (I was there visiting Katie and her adorable son, Walter), we finally narrowed our picks to 12 -- and even that was difficult. Truth be told, we felt like we were leaving out some of our babies! But we hope you'll enjoy our picks over the next 12 days, and share your favorites with us as well. Throughout the feature, you'll notice a pretty well-rounded list in terms of color and brand.
For the first day, we're really pulling out all the stops. (Well, we will be for all 12 days, but we're especially excited to kick things off today with these fabulous colors!) I picked an amazing color by Nails Inc., while Katie's color is by China Glaze. Keep reading to see what they are!

Nails Inc. Colour Collection Swatches

Over the past few years, I've developed quite the little love affair with Nails Inc. It all began during my trip to London back in 2008, when I had some time at Heathrow and decided to get a pedicure at the Nails Inc. station. My life was immediately changed when I discovered the amazingness that is the whole brand -- gorgeous colors, fabulous application and incredible lasting power!
In the next couple of weeks, I'll be bringing you swatches of some of the most recent colors and collections! Up first: The Nails Inc. Colour Collection.

Nails Inc. Special Effects Sprinkles Collection Swatches
For anyone with a sweet tooth, the Nails Inc. Special Effects Sprinkles Collection should be on your must-have list! Each of the four polishes in this collection are named after four of the most delicious streets in London -- and they look like candy sprinkles on your nails! Read more to get up close and personal with three of the four polishes from the collection. All are seen with two coats.
Sweets Way is a white base with pastel blue, pink and silver sparkles. I liked this one a lot more than I expected -- the various colors of sparkle really punch up a classic milky white, turning it into something different and unexpected.
Pudding Lane is a turquoise base with navy and gold glitter. I love the combination of turquoise and navy, and the addition of gold really punches up the contrast. I'm a sucker for an amazing blue nail polish, and this definitely fits the bill!
Topping Lane is a baby pink with mulberry, bluish purple and silver glitter. This was, surprisingly, my favorite of the three! I must be getting girlier, because pink nail polish is my new go-to. In any case, I found the application of this one the easiest, and I just love the combination of glitter colors -- I've never seen anything like this one!
I found that with all three of the nail polishes, application was easy and thoroughly covered the nail in just two coats. I was worried that the glitter might not really come through, which is a problem I have with a lot of chunkier glitters -- but a liberal amount came out with each coat. And this is just with two coats of each polish! Even after one, a lot of glitter was on the nail. I haven't seen anything like this collection and I think it's just so fun and perfect for really making a statement with your nails. I highly recommend all three colors!
The nail polishes in the Nails Inc. Special Effects Sprinkles Collection retail for $9.50 each at sephora.com.

Mani of the Week: Sally Hansen Commander in Chic Complete Salon Manicure with Nails Inc. Special Effects Electric Lane Holographic Glitter Top Coat
Well, my manicure this week sure is a mouthful! I'm wearing two polishes again, but they both have pretty long names! I'd been staring at Sally Hansen Commander in Chic Complete Salon Manicure for awhile -- it had been in my stash for at least three months -- but I just hadn't gotten around to trying it. So, I went for it! I decided to spice it up with Nails Inc. Special Effects Electric Lane Holographic Glitter Top Coat on two nails.
The Sally Hansen color is a gorgeous plum-taupe-chocolate brown combo that's creamy and super glossy. I did have some application problems and a lot of streakiness, which I smoothed out with three coats -- two, then a top coat, then a third! I also am not a huge fan of the brush, which is big, flat and pretty hard to use on smaller nails. With all that being said, I do like the color, though you can see the application problems especially on one of my ring fingers. I also applied CND Stickey Base Coat and Seche Vite top coat, even though Complete Salon Manicure technically has a base coat and top coat baked into the formula -- I just don't trust a manicure without my standbys.
I'm in love with the Nails Inc. top coat, though I would say it's more like a polish than a top coat -- it completely covers the polish beneath it in just one coat! But I love the multiple colors of glitter and the evenness with which it applies.

Mani of the Week: Nails Inc. Whitehall Magnetic Polish
Oh, how I love Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish. Seriously, not only are the colors amazing, but what a cool and easy way to do a little nail art! This week I went for Nails Inc. Whitehall Magnetic Polish, a gorgeous rich hunter green that turns a beautiful mix of black and teal once the magnet is applied.
I did realize, once I brought this bottle home from Sephora, that it was without the magnetic top -- but, luckily, I had another bottle that I could use!
If you're looking for a way to get your nails noticed, this is most definitely it. Really, paint your nails with any of the Nails Inc. Magnetic Polishes and see how many compliments you get in a week!

Holiday Gift Guide: Nails Inc. Front Row Collection
If you're looking to give your nails a large dose of holiday cheer, the Nails Inc. Front Row Collection is a must-have this season. This set of four mini nail polishes packs a major sparkly whollop -- and each of the four colors fits a different nail color need.
I actually love that each of the polishes is miniature-sized. I have the hardest time using up a bottle of polish, so the adorable, useful minuteness of these bottles is not lost on me.
St. Pauls is a dark purple sparkle. I found this to be the most difficult to apply out of the four, but with two coats it gives good coverage and makes a dramatic statement.
Gloucester Place is pretty much your typical holiday red. I think it's a lot like China Glaze Ruby Pumps, though I give the edge to that one since it's one of my favorite colors of all time. But this is a really pretty candy apple red that is perfect for December.
George Yard is a nude champagne with lots of shimmer. I love the new take on a neutral hue in this color, and it applies like a dream.
Chelsea Manor is a gorgeous sparkly graphite. This polish adds boldness to any holiday look.
The Nails Inc. Front Row Collection retails for $18 at sephora.com.

Mani of the Week: Nails Inc. George Yard
Since the holidays are in full swing, I wanted to go for a little glitz and glamour on my nails this week. Enter Nails Inc. George Yard, which is part of the Front Row Collection. (Stay tuned for my review on that soon!)
This champagne-hued nail polish is liberally packed with shimmer and sparkle to really up the ante this holiday season. I love this new take on a neutral hue -- it's attention-grabbing but not over the top.

Mani of the Week: Nails Inc. Trafalgar Square Magnetic Polish
Have you heard? Magnetic nail polish is the new craze sweeping both sides of the pond, thanks to Nails Inc. I've been dying to try this trend for weeks, and finally curiosity got the best of me as I walked into Sephora last week and walked out five minutes later with my very own bottle of Nails Inc. Trafalgar Square Magnetic Polish.
I. Am. In. Love. With. This. Nail. Polish. Seriously, it's both super easy to apply and SUPER COOL. The top of the cap has a handy dandy magnet on it that creates this fun swirly design. Simply paint on the first coat as you do any other polish. Immediately after painting the second coat (you'll have to do every nail one at a time instead of giving them all a second coat at the same time), hook the cuticle tab over your cuticle and let the magnet do its work for about three seconds. Be careful not to touch your nail with the magnet or you'll mess up your polish job.
And afterward? You get this super awesome nail art! I did my nails in under 10 minutes!

Mani of the Week: Nails Inc. Bruton Street
This week I went for a color that I think straddles summer and fall. Not to mention I'm super excited about Nails Inc. arriving stateside! I first heard of the brand a few years ago on a trip to London, when I got a pedicure in their salon at Heathrow -- and I've been obsessed ever since! So now that I can get colors like Bruton Street, a gorgeous combination of beige and lilac, at my local Sephora, I'm pretty darn thrilled.
