Now, I don't want to seem overly dramatic here. But when I tell you that I am obsessed with Bonne Bell Lip Smackers, I'm not kidding. I'm fairly certain that at any given time I have at LEAST 10 of them in my possession. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. No matter how many other lip balms I've tried over the years, I always come back to my trusted Lip Smackers. So when I got the news this weekend that Bonne Bell is closing up shop, I was -- as one might imagine -- devastated.

The New Zoya Summer 2012 Collections: Beach and Surf

Beauty News: Shu Uemura to Exit United States

Such sad news ... Shu Uemura will be exiting the United States this year. L'Oreal announced this week that Shu Uemura will be closing all US operations. This will give L'Oreal the opportunity to focus domestically on more luxury brands including Kiehl's and Lancome.

However, the website will remain up and running -- so you can still stock up on those ever-important eyelash curlers!

Beauty News: Cupping May Prevent Carpal Tunnel!

Remember those pictures of Gwyneth from way back when ... the horrifying cupping pictures? (See below for a reminder.)

Well, horrifying as those images may have been, it turns out cupping might have some additional benefits. A recent study published in the Journal of Pain showed that cupping may actually prevent the occurrence of carpal tunnel. Click here to read more about the study.

Piercing Screams Heard Round The World

My least favorite job of all time? I pierced ears at Afterthoughts (an offshoot of Claire's) for one summer while I was in college. It was the most horrific experience I've ever had. Every time someone wanted a piercing, my hands shook uncontrollably as I marked their ears and loaded the gun. (Miraculously, they always stopped shaking when I did the actual piercing -- so the holes were always accurate!) I vowed never to get near a piercing gun again after leaving Afterthoughts ... and to stop with the piercing of my own ears, since I already had five holes.

So when I discovered the Studex Personal Piercer Piercing Earrings , I was immediately terrified. Earrings that you use to pierce your ears yourself? I'm sorry, but is Sally Beauty Supply crazy?!? Supposedly these are easy to load and just head right through the earlobe with precision, ease and minimal pain. But I'm sorry, I find that hard to believe! It hurt like heck every time I got mine pierced, and I didn't have to do it myself! I can't even imagine the fear that would go into trying to shoot one of those through my ears.
