So of course I had to make an appointment for the Purifying Facial with Jenn, who came highly recommended, to see what Joanna's treatments were all about! While I must admit I was a bit nervous, as this facial starts with microdermabrasion -- something I've avoided for fear of totally screwing up my fairly normal skin -- I trusted Jenn implicitly, and I must say I was not disappointed! With a diamond tip wand, the microdermabrasion was anything but uncomfortable -- it actually felt quite good and was very relaxing!
Jenn then continued the treatment by applying mask upon mask, cream upon cream (including an absolutely amazing-smelling pumpkin mask), with such soothing strokes that I literally fell asleep on the table. I woke up during the extractions and was again surprised, as this tiresome and usually horrible task was virtually painless with Jenn's expert touch. Jenn really took her time during the extractions, ensuring that my pores were unclogged and really fresh-feeling. She then proceeded to apply a mask that was left on while she gave me an upper body and arm massage.
After applying a finishing mask, the treatment was done, leaving me feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and with my skin looking more amazing than it had in weeks! I was amazed to see how smooth and refined my face looked, and was astounded to see that my pores had literally diminished in size within one hour.
At $175, this is not for the faint of heart. But trust me when I tell you that your skin will look amazing -- and chances are you'll be so relaxed on the table you'll fall asleep just as I did! That's just the price we pay for looking beautiful.
