Two-For Tuesdays: Laura Mercier French Vanilla Duo

There are few scents I like more than vanilla. It's homey and comforting, and it always makes me feel happy and calm. So how could anything bad be said about the Laura Mercier French Vanilla Duo? I think it's darned near impossible to find anything wrong with this set of bubble bath and moisturizer.

The scent is so sweet, yet refrains from being at all cloying. It's mixed with touches of sandalwood and amber to really give it depth and character.

Laura Mercier's famed Honey Bath makes up the first part of this delectably sweet duo. I've already made my feelings known on the Creme Brulee scent. (Click here for full details.) But the French Vanilla scent is even more deliciously creamy and sweet. The consistency is rich and thick, and just a couple of capfuls are enough to turn even the saddest tub into an unbelievable mass of bubbly goodness.

But the Honey Bath isn't the only good part of this duo. The Souffle Body Creme is just as amazingly rich and creamy! It softens and smooths while sinking into the skin immediately -- and leaves behind no greasiness, just a beautiful and lovely scent that lingers on the skin without any need for perfume.

But my favorite part? It comes with a miniature honey dipper! I love this little wooden contraption. It's perfect for dropping just the right amount of Honey Bath into the bathtub, or for scooping out the right bit of lotion onto your hands and legs. Plus it's just so adorable!

Note: Unfortunately this set is no longer available.

  1. bluemercury does these holiday shopping parties in their stores once a year where you can get free samples and money off what you buy. I know they are coming up. Maybe check their website or call the store. I went last year and it was really fun. Free stuff everywhere.
