As you can see, some of these aren't really so oxblood-hued once they get on the nail! But I didn't know what would happen until I tried.
NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty is one of the ones that really doesn't look oxblood-colored at all. It's really more of a classic crimson. Really pretty, and very easy to apply, but not oxblood.

Vapour Beauty Captive is definitely oxblood-colored. This was my least favorite of the four, though, because it doesn't really look beautiful on the nail. It looks a little too brown for me.

Orly Smolder was my favorite of the four. It's a little more burgundy than oxblood, but I don't care because it's just so pretty! I love the shimmer and the fact that it looks like jewelry on the nail.

Dior Smoking Plum is much more oxblood than plum on the nail. It's creamy and completely opaque in two coats, and it's really gorgeous! The brush is just -- like all Dior polishes -- too wide and weird. I don't know why such a small bottle has such a wide brush!
What do you think of the oxblood nail polish trend? Are you going to try any of them? Let me know in the comments!
The nail polish comapriosn swatches shown here are great. Have a look at it
ReplyDeleteNail paints are my second weak point. And I loved all those swatches!
