The Top 4 Best Hand Soaps

Post a comment!

Sephora, Sephora Collection Mango Hand Wash, hand soap, the top 4 best hand soaps
I'll come right out and say it ... I'm obsessed with hand soaps. Luxury or drugstore, sweet or sultry, I just can't get enough. Don't believe me? My last apartment only had two sinks and way more than two different body washes crowded around them. Below, my four absolute favorites.

Recently, it seems like no matter what I try, my skin stays dry, dry, DRY. We're talking drier than the Sahara here -- scaly, patchy, flaky, you name it. And I know the temperatures of -29 a couple weeks ago weren't helping (SO not happy those are coming back this week), but COME ON. I'm getting pretty sick of my cheeks not feeling baby soft! Well, thankfully I discovered Kate Somerville Nourish Daily Moisturizer ... and now all is right in my skincare world once again.

I love learning about new beauty brands. I've been blogging about products for so many years now that it's really refreshing to discover something different -- especially when the new (to me) brand also has a product I haven't tried before. Such is the case with Verso Super Eye Serum.

Since moving to Pittsburgh, I must admit it's been a bit of a challenge to find a great nail salon. Most are closed on Sundays (!!), which is the day I always reserved for my pedicures in NYC. In addition, they seem to be more on the walk-in side than the fancier end of the spectrum, and I really like to treat myself when it comes to my tips and toes. Enter Completely Polished Nail Salon.

Pour Some Sugar On Me: Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fresh & Foamy Body Wash

Sugar, spice and everything nice. I can't help but think of that phrase every time I pump out Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fresh & Foamy Body Wash onto my pouf.

When I first started using this body wash, I thought it would smell like sugar. I must admit I was a bit shocked when I discovered it's actually scented with lime and lemon! It took a little getting used to, only because I was so taken aback -- but, once I came around to the zesty, citrusy aroma, I definitely fell in love.

I've found that about 10 pumps onto a pouf are the best amount to form a rich, foaming lather. The body wash is formulated with coconut oil, kiwi water juice and Coolcapsule™X to refresh and moisturize the skin. All in all, it's a pretty fabulous concoction!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Fresh & Foamy Body Wash retails for $16 at sephora.com.

I don't care if I don't have a special event to go to. I don't care if all I'm doing is wearing my sweatpants and watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills while I sit on my couch. Sometimes, all I need is some fancy nails -- and there's just not a better color to do that right now than Rococo Dollar Molten Lava.

This polish is like liquid silver on the nails. It glides on effortlessly, completely covering the nail in one coat (though I did two for good measure). It's shiny, it's sleek, it's sexy ... it's absolutely gorgeous and glamorous! It's just guaranteed to put you in a good mood every time you look down at your nails.

What's on your nails right now? Be sure to let me know in the comments!

Rococo Dollar Molten Lava retails for $16.50 at beauty.com.

Anyone who knows me knows that having great hair is of the utmost importance in my life. And this is never more important than when I'm traveling. So when I was visiting family in Cleveland over the holidays, I simply had to check out Cleveland's very first salon focusing solely on blowouts, the one and only 'do Blow Dry Bar.

The Perfect Nail Polish: Chanel Frenzy

You know those nail polishes that just immediately speak to you? That seem to almost sing when you look at them? Well, that's how I feel about Chanel Frenzy. I had been looking at swatches of this polish for quite some time. And while I knew right away that I absolutely needed it in my life, it took me awhile to actually pull the trigger and purchase it.

Well, purchase it I did this past weekend! I was at Nordstrom with my friend Cassie and just HAD to stop at the Chanel counter. My eyes immediately alighted on Frenzy, and I finally took the plunge.

This color is everything I wanted it to be and more. It's a beautiful mix of grey and taupe that just creates the most perfect shade of greige. Two coats yield even, creamy, opaque color with no streaking or smudging. Its staying power is also top notch -- after four days, I've only experienced minimal tipwear and no chipping.

I couldn't be happier that I finally made the decision to bring Chanel Frenzy into my life. What's on your nails right now? Let me know in the comments!

Oooh, Honey: The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel

I think I must have been a bee in a former life ... or, at the very least, that I'm related to Winnie the Pooh. (He does live in a tree that says Sanders on it, after all.) Why do I think this, you may ask? Because I really, really, REALLY love honey. A lot. So is it any wonder that my new favorite product is The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel? (The answer to that question would be a resounding no.)

To be fair, I love every shower gel by The Body Shop. There's at least one in my shower at all times. But there's just something special about this one ... and it's not just because it looks exactly like honey (thankfully, without the sticky texture that, truth be told, I could do without).

No, I think it's because it smells like honey laced with wildflowers. It's rich, heady and delicious -- and, if I could, I would just drink the whole bottle! I'll have to settle for lathering up with tons of honey-scented suds upon my pouf, which definitely comes in a close second.

The Body Shop Honeymania Shower Gel retails for $8 at thebodyshop.com.

Considering the fact that tons of snow just got dumped all over the country, it seemed apropos to reach for a nail polish that really brought out the chill of winter. (In the best possible way, of course!) Enter Essie Parka Perfect.

Parka Perfect is one of the colors from the Winter 2013 Collection. It's a beautiful dusty blueish green shot through with silver shimmer. In a word, it's ... perfect! Really, Essie hit the nail on the head with the name of this polish. The shimmer is just iridescent enough to add intrigue, while the color is a beautiful mix of blue and green that just feels absolutely right for cold winter temperatures.

Now, if only I didn't actually need a parka right now...

Essie Parka Perfect retails for $8 at beauty.com.
