#ManiMonday: Essie French Manicure with Turquoise & Caicos and Beyond Cozy

Last October, I got a pretty incredible moon manicure at my beloved Tenoverten, using two colors by Essie: Butler Please and Beyond Cozy. I've thought about that manicure a lot over the following months, mainly because I love how Beyond Cozy looks with greens and blues. So on Friday, during a nails date with one of my girlfriends (also named Jamie S., as it turns out -- so when we go out, we're #jamiesquared), I brought along my trusty bottle of Beyond Cozy along with a color I've owned for a LONG time but had yet to try, Essie Turquoise & Caicos.

I think what I'm about to say is pretty obvious, but I'll say it anyway. I. Love. This. Manicure. I absolutely adore the way the silvery gold hue of Beyond Cozy pops against the pale turquoise/teal wonder that is Turquoise & Caicos. All of the swatches I've seen of this shade make it look way more turquoise than my bottle -- it ends up looking a lot like China Glaze For Audrey, just like another Essie color that I did comparison swatches of last year, Where's My Chauffeur?. (Check out the comparison here.) In any case, my bottle is definitely on the greener side rather than blue, but I actually like it that way.

Regardless, this is one of my favorite manicures to date. Two coats of each polish yielded perfectly even, opaque color. It's somehow simple and understated yet bold and daring at the same time, which I love. I seriously can't stop staring at my nails! Also, it's Monday, and even after a ton of working with my hands this past weekend, my manicure is still PERFECT -- not a single chip. So if you happen to be looking for a good nail salon in Pittsburgh, as I was, Beverly Hills Nail Salon in Greentree is pretty darn fabulous!
