Salon and Spa Directory: Bliss 49 (and the Triple Oxygen Facial)

I've made no secret over the years of how much I LOVE Bliss. I love the products, I love the spas, I love the treatments, I love the packaging ... basically, Bliss can do no wrong. So when I had the opportunity to visit Bliss 49 during a recent trip to New York, I (of course) pounced.

Bliss 49 is located in the W Hotel on Lexington Avenue. And while there are a few Bliss locations scattered around New York, this has always been my favorite.

Now, no matter how much I moisturize, my skin always seems to be on the dry side. So I was pretty excited to have the chance to receive the Bliss Triple Oxygen Facial. This is the facial that basically put Bliss on the map -- and for good reason. I've gotten it in the past, and I'm here to tell you that IT WORKS. This 75-minute treatment really works to revive, rejuvenate and revitalize the skin.

My facialist, Brianne, customized the facial just for my skin (which is definitely something I love about Bliss). Another thing I love? While the therapists may make suggestions of different upgrades or products to try, they never push them on you. I usually end up saying yes to facial upgrades, however, because I know that what they're suggesting really will help my skin look and feel its absolute best.

The Triple Oxygen Treatment includes a targeted peel (Brianne suggested the Brightening + Exfoliating Enzyme Peel to slough off all the dead skin cells and brighten up my overall skin tone). It also includes everything else you would expect in a facial -- cleansing, extractions (Brianne had such a light touch that I barely even felt the extractions happening, which is a true talent), exfoliating and a mask (also customized to your skin type). I went with the Advanced Healing Collagen Mask, which tightens, lifts and adds moisture into the skin. It's honestly my favorite part of any facial at Bliss because it's so lush and soothing!

But the piece de resistance of any Triple Oxygen Facial is, of course, the vitaminized O2 spray that comes at the end. Bliss calls it "a breath of fresh air for your face -- literally" -- and they couldn't be more right. It just brings so much life into your skin! I love ending my facial with the couple minutes of oxygen blasted onto my skin.

And here's the other reason I put visiting Bliss 49 at the top of my list. The amenities are TO DIE FOR. The locker room is filled with every Bliss product you could imagine, the robes are plush and cozy, and the showers have Vichy shower heads that rain down on you and make you feel like you're in the middle of a rainforest. (And, of course, the showers are also filled with Bliss products.) I am also especially in love with the lounge, which is replete with comfy armchairs and couches and some of the best snacks you're sure to find at any spa (cheese and crackers, cucumber slices, olives and Bliss's signature mini brownies). Seriously, what's not to love?

    1. I know the price is high. But I always justify it by eating tons of treats in the lounge and staying for like 5 hours. :)
