Now, I did feature Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream all the way back in 2012. (Click here for a refresher.) As Mermaid's Dream ended up being so popular, Deborah decided to create an entire collection for Summer 2013, aptly named the Mermaids Collection.

I would classify Mermaid's Kiss as a more shimmery, sparkly take on a classic nude. The rose gold base is perfect on its own ... but the mix of raspberry and pink glitters really takes it to the next level. I love how this color builds with every coat -- the glitters don't all sink into the first level but sit on top of each other and meld together in unique and interesting ways. Even with all the sparkle, this shade is still somehow a bit more tame. In certain lights, it even blends into the hand and gives more of a mannequin hand-like effect.

I also love how this color changes with the light, going from nude to pink to gold.
This color is definitely a fun mid-week pick me up! It just begs for a fun night out on the town later, too...
