Hands On Hydration: Davines OI Hand Balm

Hydration. I really can't get enough of it, both in water consumption (I drink at least 2 liters a day) and in making my skin as nourished as possible. So it only stands to reason that Davines OI Hand Balm is my new favorite thing.

Isn't the sleek white and black packaging so divine?

I typically don't like fragranced hand creams, but I've decided to leave that by the wayside where this one is concerned. The scent is slightly musky but doesn't feel overwhelming, and it fades fairly quickly so I don't end up smelling it all day long.

But what I REALLY love is how soft and moisturized my hands feel every time I slather this hand cream on. A dime-sized amount is all that's needed to make them feel smoother than silk! This is thanks to a combination of glycerin (a hydrating emollient), olive oil (to nourish) and roucou oil (for anti-aging and antioxidants). Hands even stay soft after washing multiple times -- and THAT is no small feat.

I love how rich and lush this hand cream is.

Plus, just look at how rich in texture this hand cream is. It's deliciously lush but somehow sinks into skin immediately -- no annoying greasy residue left behind, so I can immediately go back to my iPhone and computer keyboard without smearing lotion all over the place. Seriously, Davines, can you do no wrong?

  3. This sounds wonderful but I put my hands to my face often so I bet the fragrance would get to me after a while.

  4. Since January, I went from two glasses of water a day (don't ask) to three litres a day and my skin is showing the difference. I love me a good hand cream during the dry weather!

  7. I had no idea that Davines made skincare products as well. As an Esthetician, glycerin and olive oil are ingredients that I love. Going have to try this out!
