Throwback Thursday: Making Interesting Outfit Choices

Jamie Allison Sanders, Minnie Mouse bathing suit, Fair Isle sweater, swimsuit, 1980s, fashion, interesting outfit choices, questionable outfit choices
Sometimes we make interesting outfit choices, do we not? In the case of what you see here, I'd say I made quite a unique one.

At first glance, this outfit may not seem all that strange. A bit off, color coordination wise, but not strange. Until I tell you what exactly was being worn here...

That is my prized Minnie Mouse bathing suit, which I've actually talked about previously here. Coincidentally, I wore it in another -- um -- interesting combination. But this time, I teamed it with a lavender Fair Isle sweater. Why? I'm not sure. My best guess is that it was fall but I wasn't done wearing my swimsuits yet, so I decided it was best to pair these two items lest I have to put my bathing suit away for the year.

Say what you will, but I've definitely always marched to the beat of my own fashion drum. Did you make any questionable outfit choices growing up? Let me know in the comments!

  5. How utterly cute! My childhood questionable fashion choices involved a lot of frills and flounces. Think meringue meets Little Bo Peep.

  6. I was a child of the Seventies. What do you think? lol I lived in my bathing suit when I was a kid. I'd even sleep in the thing. My mother would have to peel it off of me to get it in the wash and the moment it came out, it went right back on, again. What was the matter with me?
