#ManiMonday: Deborah Lippmann Raspberry Jam from the Very Berry Nail Polish Set
I've never really been a pink and red nail polish wearer. When push comes to shove, I always choose shades that are crazier or more unique -- blues, purples, greens, browns, glitters, they've all been mainstays in my nail polish collection since high school. But when I came across the Deborah Lippmann Very Berry Nail Polish Set -- and, particularly, Deborah Lippmann Raspberry Jam -- well, I knew these colors were, well ... to embrace the phrase I've used since the early 2000s, going to be my jam.

Life, Lately ... Told Through Photos!
I don't know about you, but I take a lot of photos. I mean A LOT. And, yes, I post quite a few of them on social media, but sometimes I just take them and they never see the light of day! Well, I thought I'd take this opportunity to share just a few of my recent photos with you -- some beauty, some fashion, some just completely random. Hope you enjoy this little glimpse into my life as of late! And, yes, I own the Free People Tree Swing Top in multiple colors.

Perfectly Imperfect: Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
Let's face it. Sometimes it's "wash your hair day" and you JUST. CAN'T. FACE. IT. It's okay. We've all been there. And that's where Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo comes into play. Because with this baby by your side, nobody needs to know what's really going on with your hair.

Take it All Off: Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
You might want to kill me when I tell you this ... but I don't wash my face. Ever. And because of this, my skin looks and feels amazing basically all the time. I swear I'm not bragging -- it's just my way of life. But I'm totally changing my tune now, thanks to Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water.

Having Hope, Even When All Seems Lost
I had a truly fabulous On Wednesdays We Wear Pink post to share with you today. But, in light of what happened in our country last night, I am saving it. I just didn't feel right posting something frivolous today.
I did not think I lived in a country or a time where this election outcome was possible. As a Jew, as a woman, as a person with more gay friends than straight ones, as a HUMAN. I'm disheartened and disgusted by the state of affairs in America. But, at the same time, I have to believe we can come through this and stay strong in the face of adversity. I leave you with one of my favorite quotes. Please read the ever poignant words of Anne Frank -- who, more than ever, it seems, really knew how to express what many of us are feeling today.
"In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply can’t build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder, which will destroy us too. I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too shall end, and that peace and tranquility will return again."

Your Neon Lights Will Shine For You: Deborah Lippmann Xanadu from the Fantastical Holiday Collection
A place where nobody dared to go
The love that we came to know
They call it Xanadu
And now, open your eyes and see
What we have made is real
We are in Xanadu
A million lights are dancing
And there you are, a shooting star
An everlasting world and you're here with me, eternally
Xanadu, Xanadu (now we are here)
In Xanadu
Xanadu, Xanadu (now we are here)
In Xanadu
Xanadu, your neon lights will shine
For you, Xanadu
Okay, I have a confession to make. I AM OBSESSED WITH XANADU. I mean, seriously. I've seen the movie a million times, I saw the show on Broadway, I have both the movie and Broadway soundtracks and I LISTEN TO THEM ALL THE TIME. I can't get enough. I don't really know what it is, because honestly, the movie is pretty darn bad. But when you have the combination of Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly (or Kerry Butler and Cheyenne Jackson in the Broadway version), can you really go THAT wrong? Well, no. No you can't. Which is why, when I discovered Deborah Lippmann Xanadu, I was immediately hooked.
