First Look Fridays Interview Series: Beauty Blogger Shelley Plummer of Polarbelle
I've connected with many fabulous beauty bloggers over the years. But one of my very favorites? Shelley Plummer of Polarbelle. Even though we've never met in person, we've definitely got a similar outlook on life that's led to many rapid-fire conversations over Instagram direct message! I love Shelley's unique take on beauty, too -- she's always introducing me to products I haven't heard of but absolutely need in my arsenal. And she shares my love of crazy hair colors! Read on to find out what inspired her to start her blog, the powder she can't live without and so much more.

Even Beauty Routines Get the Blues: My Current One Does, Anyway (in the Absolute Best Way)
As Type A as I am -- and I admit, I'm pretty Type A -- I somehow never transfer this to my beauty routine. I think it's because I'm constantly adding new products into the rotation with tried and true faves, so there isn't necessarily a rhyme or reason to what products I'm using. I'm always so drawn to people's Instagram posts featuring products of specific colors, but I just don't seem to BE one of those people.

First Look Fridays Interview Series: Manicurist and Nail Artist Nikki Diamond
Sometimes the best people come into your life in the most unexpected ways. Two years ago, during a trip to Los Angeles (my final trip before I moved two months later), I happened upon Nikki Diamond, a manicurist and nail artist at The House of Polish. I was randomly assigned to her, and I knew that I wanted purple nails with some sort of nail polish bottle art. Other than that, I was totally open to the design. Nikki and I connected instantly, and the design she created was SO GOOD. I seriously couldn't stop staring at my nails! (You'll have to keep reading to see what she did. Trust me, you're going to love it.) She's since moved to Las Vegas, but we've kept in touch over Instagram, and I knew I needed to feature her on The Beauty of Life -- because she is not only an incredible nail artist, but a truly inspiring person. Read on to find out how she got her start as a manicurist, the nail polishes she can't live without and so much more.

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink: Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub
Admittedly, I am not the most frequent user of face scrubs and exfoliators. I typically find that they dry my skin out and cause more breakouts than if I just leave it alone. But, in the case of the Mario Badescu Strawberry Face Scrub, I find myself reaching for it again and again -- because, honestly, it's just THAT good.

#ManiMonday: Deborah Lippmann On The Beach with butter LONDON Tart With A Heart Accent Nail
Sometimes my favorite manicures are born out of what one might call a happy accident. For my trip to Palm Springs over Labor Day weekend (my first time there, and let me just tell you, I AM IN LOVE), I wanted my nails to be super bold and bright. And what better color for that than Deborah Lippmann On The Beach, #amirite? Well, once I got back, most of my nails were still intact (shoutout to Deb for her amazingly long-lasting colors), but the middle finger was looking a little worse for wear. Totally not because I was raising it a ton, I swear! But I decided to give it a little pizazz with some sparkle. Enter butter LONDON Tart With A Heart ... and, in effect, one of my fave manicures to date!
