I've waxed poetic about my love for Urban Decay Primer Potion time and time again. (Like here, and here, and here, and, well, here.) It keeps eyeshadow in place all day long with no creasing, fading or smudging -- I just haven't found another product like it on the market. EVER.
But the one thing Primer Potion hasn't had going for it all this time? The packaging. The strange, swoopy tube gets so much product caught in it that you literally have to cut it in half to reveal at least half of the primer. So color me happy today, because they're FINALLY launching a much easier to use squeeze tube! Thank goodness for Urban Decay Primer Potion Professional Size -- I can finally get each and every drop without cursing the primer gods.
Urban Decay Primer Potion Professional Size retails for $29.

Some Sort of Amazing: butter LONDON Nail Lacquer Fall Collection
It's rare that I come across an entire nail collection that makes me fall completely, madly, desperately in love. (The last one that comes to mind is the OPI France Collection). But when I discovered the butter LONDON Fall Collection, all bets were off. I love a rich, sparkly polish, and this collection delivers that in spades. See all the polishes after the jump.

The Secret to Baby Soft Skin: The Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial at Bliss

Summer’s Best Citrus Products: Trish McEvoy Orange Ginger Scented Candle
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
At first glance, I was both intrigued and wary of the note combinations in the Trish McEvoy Orange Ginger Scented Candle. How could these two intensely tangy scents combine in a way that wouldn’t be disastrous and horrifying?
Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised by the aroma wafting out of the 3 oz. jar. The vibrant scent lent just a hint of spicy deliciousness to my living room as I watched TV the other night. Truth be told, I want to savor every single moment of this candle -- because it’s one of the more unique in my collection!
The Trish McEvoy Orange Ginger Scented Candle is $17.50 and has a burn time of 18 hours.

Summer's Best Citrus Products: Mario Badescu Citrus Body Cleanser
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
If ever there were a body wash that was bursting with citrusy goodness, it would be the Mario Badescu Citrus Body Wash. The scent of grapefruit wafts enticingly out of the bottle each and every time it's opened -- which, of course, makes me want to start my day that much sooner.
This body wash contains the aforementioned grapefruit extract, which works to exfoliate the skin. But it also includes linden flower extract, which works to clean and refresh the skin, and orange extract for added citrusy freshness. I love the liquid consistency of this body wash -- especially because, once poured onto a pouf, it works itself into a gorgeously rich and frothy lather.
Mario Badescu Citrus Body Wash is $10 for 8 oz. and $18 for 16 oz at mariobadescu.com.
Good Drugstore Buy: Noxzema Clean Moisture Makeup Removal Cloths
My extremely lazy self loves a good cleansing cloth ... so when I came across Noxzema Clean Moisture Makeup Removal Cloths, I simply had to try them out.
For starters, I really love the royal blue packaging -- it adds a bold, dynamic jolt to my skincare routine. The cloths themselves smell fresh and a bit medicinal, and they're loaded with Vitamin E to nourish and condition skin. The best part? They're even safe to remove mascara -- and they WORK!
After sweeping them across my face, I'm left with a tingly, ultra-clean feeling -- not to mention a sense of accomplishment on nights when all I want to do is fall into bed without washing my face.
Noxzema Clean Moisture Makeup Removal Cloths are $4.79 for 25 at drugstore.com.

Mani of the Week: Chanel Paradoxal
Chanel Paradoxal really is a paradox. In the bottle, it’s a deep purple full of shimmer. On the nail? It’s a purplish brown creme. In the right light, you can see a BIT of shimmer -- but it’s nothing close to what I would have expected. (Though in the pics after the jump, with flash, you can definitely see the shimmer come out.)
I honestly am not sure how I feel about this one. I was really excited about it -- and spent $23 on it last week, which, even though I’m obsessed with Chanel nail polish and have close to 40 of them, is still a big expense for a polish that I’m not thrilled about.
What do you think of it? And what’s on your nails this week? Let me know in the comments!

Outfit of the Day: Ruffles in a Gay Bar
I went out with some friends last night and, true to form, ended up in a gay bar. I wanted to look cute -- but didn't really need to go overboard, since -- let's be honest -- no guys were going to be looking at me! At G Lounge, I snuck up into a little cubbyhole and snapped this pic right before I got yelled at by security. Here's what I decided to wear:
H&M tiered ruffle top
Hue black cotton leggings
Rebecca Minkoff 3-Zip Boyfriend Crossbody Bag
Sequin lucite and gold necklace
Old Navy purple flip-flops
The flip-flops may have been a bit too casual, but honestly, I don't care!

Summer's Best Citrus Products: M.A.C Care Blends Essential Oils in Sweet Orange + Lavender
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
Even though people tell me using oil on your skin is supposed to actually help, I'm usually just not a fan. I hate the greasy residue that lingers for hours with most oils -- I just want my skincare products to sink in immediately and work their magic. Well, color me impressed -- because M.A.C Care Blends Essential Oils in Sweet Orange + Lavender does just that.
I love the mix of fragrances in this oil -- the crisp, zesty, citrusy note of orange blends with the calming aroma of lavender to create such a unique and wonderful scent. I also love that I feel like I'm doing a chemistry experiment every time I use it -- because the miniature bottle is replete with an eyedropper that fills with the beautifully scented liquid!
What I love most about this essential oil is how healthy it makes my skin look and feel. One eyedropper full, gently patted onto my skin, and I look like a million bucks. I like to apply it at night before my moisturizer -- it really helps to lock in the rejuvenating and hydrating properties of any moisturizer I've used thus far. And the fact that I've seen it used backstage at Fashion Week time and again doesn't hurt.
M.A.C Care Blends Essential Oils in Sweet Orange + Lavender retails for $19.50.

My Fashion Bucket List for Fall
What is the fashion bucket list, you may ask? It's the items you covet above all else -- the ones that, regardless of price, stay in your wishlist hoping to be bought and make your wardrobe the amazing thing it could be. Some may be drastically out of reach (a Marni necklace or Christian Louboutin pumps, anyone?) -- but they're the items that would make your wardrobe complete. I have quite a long list -- but these are the brands and items that keep calling my name.

Fabulous Facial: The Triple Enzyme Facial at Jillian Wright Clinical Skin Spa

Mani of the Week: Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Grab
I went fairly bold with my manicure this week! I decided to use Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Grab -- a gorgeous, creamy magenta/hot pink combo. It actually feels a bit more fall-ish to me, but I decided that's not such a bad thing. The finish is super-creamy and the polish glided onto the nail so easily. Seen here with two coats -- but even one was super-pigmented!
What's on your nails this week? Let me know in the comments!
Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Grab retails for $17 at sephora.com.
Summer's Best Citrus Products: Jo Malone Orange Blossom Shower Gel
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
When life calls for a chic, sophisticated shower gel, look no further than Jo Malone Orange Blossom Shower Gel. As if the bottle isn’t elegant enough, the scent is unbelievably beautiful. Notes of Clementine, orange blossom and water lily combine to create an aroma that’s just so gorgeously zesty and refreshing.
I always look for a shower gel that forms an abundant lather – and this one does not disappoint. A dime-sized amount upon a pouf seriously makes more bubbles than you could ever imagine possible!
Jo Malone Orange Blossom Shower Gel retails for $50.

Obsession of the Moment: All Saints Alexandria Trench
I think I just found the world's perfect trench. I'm not saying Burberry doesn't make nice coats, but now that I've come across the All Saints Alexandria Trench, I'm fairly certain my life won't be complete until it's mine. I love the double-breasted silhouette and the ever-so-chic stone hue, not to mention the wide peaked lapel and belted cuffs. Starlet Rachel Bilson was even spotted wearing it recently:
At $450, it's a bit out of my price range -- though, honestly, it's not that expensive for a trench. Hopefully once the next sale rolls around, it will be cheap enough to become mine!
Beauty Question: How Do You Hide Redness After Eyebrow Waxing?
We've all been there -- we go for an eyebrow wax at a less than opportune time and come out beet red. Since I'm exceedingly pale (sometimes I think Casper is darker than me), I tend to stay red for HOURS.
I've discovered that the best way to hide my redness is with the most oversized sunglasses I can find -- which lately are my beloved Banana Republic Heather Sunglasses (seen above with my new red locks from Jan-Marie!). I love that they're so big they literally cover my entire eyebrow -- thus hiding any unfortunate redness from the rest of the world!
How do you hide redness after waxing? Let me know in the comments!

Summer's Best Citrus Products, The Skincare Edition: Mario Badescu, Darphin and Bobbi Brown
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
I have a new skincare regimen thanks to this series, and honestly? My skin couldn't be happier. Three fabulous products have made their way into my life and I really don't know how I've lived without them until now. Check them all out after the jump.
Twittabling: My Version of Sex and the City's "Carrie" Necklace
I'd been hearing about Twittabling for quite some time, but never could bring myself to spend the money on my very own. It wasn't that it was so costly, but for some reason I just kept getting held back. Well, a few weeks ago I had my lucky day -- because, for their first anniversary, Twittabling offered 10 percent off! I immediately snapped up my very own, and here it is in all its glory:
I have to say, I absolutely love it! I've been wearing it for the past few days and not only do I get tons of compliments, but I really feel like I have my very own version of the "Carrie" necklace from Sex and the City.
To get Twittabling of your very own, visit their website here. You can also follow them on Twitter and Facebook!

Summer's Best Citrus Products: Archipelago Botanicals Pink Grapefruit Mini Diffuser & Votive Set
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
I'll admit that in the past I really didn't understand the point of a diffuser. Why not just light a candle? But when I discovered the Archipelago Botanicals Pink Grapefruit Mini Diffuser and Votive Set, my life was forever changed ... because this set has the best of both worlds! A diffuser and a candle are delicately nestled in a beautiful box -- but that's the least of the amazingness.
I'm totally enamored of the gorgeous scent. It's crisp and fresh -- and the diffuser lets out the constant aroma of grapefruit without feeling at all overpowering. It's amazing to me that cedar sticks dipped inside a jar filled with fragrant water can let out such a powerful scent -- but they do! I'm now a total diffuser convert.
Unfortunately this product is no longer available.
First Look Fridays: Gail Schneider of Wow Brows
Once in awhile, I come across someone who just completely intrigues me from the very first moment. Gail Schneider of Wow Brows is one such person! Not only did I discover that Gail is originally from Israel -- about which we've now had many conversations, since I fell in love with it when I went back in December! -- but I just love the fact that she started a salon dedicated to brows. I'm always looking for new tips and tricks to make my brows look amazing -- and Gail has them in spades! Read on to discover how she got started in the brows business, the shape you should avoid and so much more.

Mani of the Week (Again!): M.A.C Give Me Liberty of London Blue India Nail Lacquer
So I couldn't help it -- I had to paint my nails a second time this week! I just really wasn't feeling the Chanel Gold Lame from earlier this week, and decided to go bolder and darker for the rest of the week and heading into the weekend. My polish of choice? M.A.C Blue India from Spring 2010's Give Me Liberty of London Collection. This polish had been sitting in my stash for awhile, just begging to be used -- and finally, finally, I took it out!
And you know what? I absolutely LOVE it. The opaque greyish blue glided on so smoothly and creamily, and the color is absolutely gorgeous. It's at once goth and demure. Not to mention the bottle is ADORABLE.Seen with flash (above picture is without flash)
Unfortunately, the Give Me Liberty of London collection sold out months ago -- but it is available on eBay!
Disclosure: This product was furnished by a PR representative for M.A.C.
Beauty Question: Do You Like Your Freckles?
As a child, I spent a fair amount of time in the sun -- and as a result, I had tons of freckles sprinkled across my nose and cheeks. I always yearned for them to stay year-round, but alas, once the sun disappeared in the dreary Midwest winters, so did my freckles.
As I've gotten older, freckles don't come out too much on my cheeks anymore -- but if I'm in the sun enough, I will find them sprinkled across my forehead. I mainly have them on my shoulders and upper arms.
But it's the age-old question, isn't it? Do you like your freckles? I'm of the camp who absolutely loves them. I think they add character and visual interest to my super-pale skin. Let me know your thoughts on freckles in the comments!
My New Favorite Red Nail Polish: OPI Dear Santa
So I know it's nowhere close to Christmas, but this past week I went for a holiday-themed polish on my toes. While at Bella Sante in Wellesley (another post coming on my amazing experience there), I got a pedicure -- and this vibrant, shimmery red just called my name immediately! Originally from OPI's Holiday Wishes collection from 2009, this red polish is a sure stunner. It has a jelly base, which really gives it a rich texture -- and the true red is accented by gorgeous gold glitter.
I honestly haven't found a red this gorgeous in quite some time! The only others that even come close are NARS Rouge Andalou and China Glaze Ruby Pumps.

Wow-Worthy Brows: Bella at Bliss Spa
I just had an out-of-brow experience. My eyebrows have seriously never looked better, and it's all thanks to Bella at Bliss Spa.
I headed to the 57th Street location last night for a little brow upkeep -- because, let's face it, I'd let them go for FAR too long. As I settled onto the table, Bella got to work smoothing the wax onto my (way too many) hairs and delicately yanking them out. (Seriously, it was the least painful wax I've ever experienced.) She then tweezed and trimmed them to perfection -- when I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't believe the difference!
And here's the best part ... I WASN'T RED AFTERWARD. I'm usually lobster-red for about 3 hours following a wax -- my pale, sensitive skin just can't take it -- but this time, nada. I didn't even have to slip on the oversized sunglasses and slink home in shame!
Seriously, if you're in New York, do yourself a favor and get an appointment with Bella. She's at the 57th Street location on Mondays and Tuesdays, then the 49th Street location on Thursdays and Fridays. You won't be disappointed.
A brow wax at Bliss will set you back $30.

Mani of the Week: Zoya Adina
I have been lusting after Zoya Adina for months now. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to Zoya's website, stuck this baby in my shopping cart and prepared to enter those hallowed credit card numbers. But I'm a thrifty gal, and each time I thought, "maybe it's not as great as it seems."
Turns out, it is! My best bud, your fabulous Beauty Chick, supplied me with Adina last weekend, and it did not disappoint. I could have probably applied a third, but I'm impatient and wanted to see the result. My topcoat is getting pretty gloppy, so the finish isn't perfect, and I haven't mastered the art of cuticle avoidance yet (bear with me), but I think it looks pretty snazzy. The gorgeous duochrome has a purple-pink base that turns to a pretty sage green in certain lights, and if you look carefully enough, you'll see a hint of gold microglitter. I'm thinking of of bringing this one back in just a few weeks for my sister-in-law's wedding. What a great beachy, summer shade!

My New Nails Best Friend: CND Stickey Base Coat
For a long time, I've been on the quest to find the perfect base coat. No matter how hard I tried, how far I searched, I just couldn't seem to find the one that made my polish last. That is, until I came across CND Stickey Base Coat.
My best friend had been singing Stickey's praises for years -- not to mention it's used backstage at almost every fashion show during New York Fashion Week -- but for some reason, I never tried it. Finally, though, the curiosity became too great and I simply had to have my own bottle ... so I traversed to Ricky's (not so hard, since I live across the street) and picked one up.
Oh. My. God. My life has been changed forever. My nail polish literally lasts for weeks now without chipping -- we're talking at least 10 days of chip-free, smooth, long-lasting polish. Not to mention that no matter how dark the polish is, my nails are never stained orange or yellow.
My verdict? I'm never polishing my nails without this base coat again.
CND Stickey Base Coat retails for $8.50 at ulta.com.
Mani of the Week: Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Gold Lame
I'm actually not really sure how I feel about this week's manicure with Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Gold Lame. My gal Nancy sent this polish to me awhile back and I finally got around to using it -- but I'm a bit ambivalent now that it's actually on my nails. I think it's a bit too yellow for my skin tone, and it definitely applied on the streaky side. As Chanel polishes go, it's not my absolute favorite. Shown here with two coats, plus CND Stickey Base Coat and Seche Vite Top Coat.
What's on your nails this week? Let me know in the comments!
Summer's Best Citrus Products: Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow
There's nothing I love more than a huge tub of body scrub -- especially when it's as chic as Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow. I love displaying the gorgeous oversized tub in my shower almost as much as I love using it!
My legs have a tendency to be on the ashy side. Not so with this luxurious scrub. Ginger stimulates metabolism and tones, lime peel refreshes and purifies, and sea salt cleanses and exfoliates. This scrub even works to prevent ingrown hairs after waxing!
The rough, salt-like consistency makes a little of this tartly terrific scrub go a long way. I think I've died and gone to heaven.
Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow retails for $62 at blissworld.com.

Obsession of the Moment: Peacekeeper Cause-Metics Eco-Sensual Lip Balm
It takes a lot to pull me away from my usual LipSmackers, but Peacekeeper Cause-Metics Eco-Sensual Balm ($3.89) is making a serious run for the title of My Favorite Lip Balm. The blend of spearmint and coconut oil is divine -- and my lips are so, so soft!! It even lasts during a night of 8 hours sleep. What more could one need?
Song Inspiration of the Day: The Title Song from "Hair"
I've been listening to the soundtrack from "Hair" today and the title song is totally speaking to me. Check out some of the passages I just love!
Give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen
Give me it down to there, hair, shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there, mama, everywhere, daddy, daddy

Powered, flowered and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled and spahettied
Hair!!

In Which I Discover the World's Perfect Pair of Aviator Sunglasses: The Marc by Marc Jacobs MMJ 119/S Aviators
For my entire life, I've been under the impression that I can't wear aviator sunglasses. Well, that may have been the case ... but now that I've discovered the Marc by Marc Jacobs MMJ 119/S Aviator Sunglasses (unfortunate name, but what can you do), I'm convinced otherwise.
For starters, I love the subtly oversized silhouette. Maybe I tried on aviators that were too small in the past -- but they always made me look like a bug. These, thankfully, do not -- and the dark brown lenses framed by gleaming gold metal just feel so Top Gun.
Not to mention they come in this super awesome case:
Seriously, I'm fairly certain I just found my sunglasses soul mate.
Marc by Marc Jacobs MMJ 119/S Aviator Sunglasses retail for $85. I won them from a Twitter contest with Lord & Taylor.
Summer's Best Citrus Products: Kiehl's Grapefruit Liquid Hand Soap
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
I'm of the school of thought wherein expensive hand soaps for the bathroom are a way of life. After all, it's important to make sure your hands are clean, right? And sometimes Softsoap just doesn't do it for me. So when I came across Kiehl's Grapefruit Liquid Hand Soap, I was undeniably thrilled and delighted.
This sweet, zesty grapefruit-scented hand soap leaves hands feeling fresh and clean -- and the scent envelops without overpowering. It's formulated with aloe vera (to soften and smooth skin) and glycerin (to absorb moisture).
Simply put? I don't think my hands can live without it.
Kiehl's Grapefruit Liquid Hand Soap retails for $17 at kiehls.com.

Obsession of the Moment: All Saints Kinji Dress
I'd been dying to check out All Saints for months. So when I was shopping in Soho this weekend, it was my very first stop!
And what a stop it was ... because I came across my new favorite dress. The Kinji Dress, to be exact. Flowy charcoal-hued jersey is interspersed with panels of crisp batiste at the bodice and hem, making it a chic juxtaposition of casual and crisp.
My favorite detail of the dress is definitely the pintucked bodice. When you look closely, you'll discover that the top button is actually twisted backwards -- such a fun touch.
The Kinji Dress was originally $90 but is now on sale for $45. That's the best part!

Summer's Best Citrus Products: Philosophy Senorita Margarita Ultra Rich Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath
From big, juicy oranges to tangy lemons and limes, summer means one thing to me -- citrus-scented products. Discover all of my favorites in this series!
While I don't actually like the taste of limes very much, the scent is overpoweringly delicious. So when I discovered Philosophy Senorita Margarita Ultra Rich Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath, I was instantly hooked.
This body wash seriously smells exactly like a margarita -- and, as I am a huge margarita lover, it's right up my alley! It lathers, it foams, it suds ... you'll seriously never feel cleaner. I only have to use about a dime-sized amount on my pouf and voila! So many big, juicy bubbles.
Philosophy Senorita Margarita Ultra Rich Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath retails for $16.50 at sephora.com.
